Maybe that crook was new & couldn't find a pillow case to load the loot in so loaded up the socks?

What a nice friend

Based on where it was, I honestly think it was a homeless maybe and took stuff that could be sold at a flea market and kept the socks for himself.

When I changed the wiring around in the RW to eliminate phantom battery draw, I was also thinking about the robbery issue. Now, when I throw the battery disconnect switch there is no power to the leveling system or slides. It's kind of similar to the factory wiring in our old Titanium, they had a landing gear disconnect switch inside the front basement to slow down robbers.

I'm not sure if someone would try to take the RW with the levelers down and the slides out or not??

Great point! When I was trying to convince the service manager and the tech at the Crossroads Service Center that I did not want to operate anything with the battery off they insisted that the engineers figured that with the battery switch partially off you couldn't hitch the fifth wheel up and not have power to the emergency brakes. I then told them that I couldn't even hitch it up if I was forced to turn on the switch to do anything. I then said if I had to turn on the switch to hitch up then I would have power to my emergency brakes. They finally agreed with me and they rewired the switch.

I'd honestly want the battery switch completely turning off all power from a maintenance standpoint. Think if when you disconnected your car battery if you still had power what havoc that could create!

We use a campground, with storage that is opposite a public park. We never remove the contents, but do lock all doors, put on a king pin lock and drop the landing gear.

The Redwood is the nicest coach so we make it harder than the others to remove or get into. If they do, no problem, just a quick call to the insurance and we get a brand new coach, with all the new features.

So you may ask, why do we bother to lock it!!!
