Storage

I have been having troubles with my storage leaking every time it rain. Took it in a year ago and they put new weather stripping on and it still leaks. Driving me crazy. This is my 4th fifth wheel and I have never had issues like this. 2015 Sequoia 38ft.

check the caulking at the top of the door , then take a close look for gaps at the latch handle.

I have had the same issue since day one. So now I just leave a rolled up towel across the whole bay below the door so water will not travel further than the towel, unless we get a real bad downpour.
I am thinking its coming from somewhere higher that the top of the door, because the carpet on the wall next to the door feels damp at times.
Both doors (on each side of RV) were resealed at the factory and extra gasket was installed on the street side doors (since they are side hinged) - that one seems to be a lot better, but the curb side has never been fixed...
I guess one day I need to unload the storage area and either wait for a good rain or hose if down and see where water might be coming from..
Good Luck - We both will need it...

I just used some Black Silicone caulking around the sides of the latch strikes and looked for gaps in the gaskets around the doors. The trim that surrounds the door opening had a splice on the bottom that was leaking so I caulked that up with clear silicone and It hasn't leaked since. Also caulk the heads of the screws that hold the frame in as they may be the source of the leak.

I had water on passenger side floor in basement one time. Took a couple times to finally get it. Turned out to be the screws for the latch catch at the bottom. Water would run down the correct side of the gasket but puddle in latch area. So I took the screws out silicone under the latch catch and again when putting in the screws. Seemed to cure our little wet spot.

Crawl in the storage bay and get someone to close the doors. Someone who likes you! Probably be best on a bright sunny day. Look for daylight coming in.
