East Coast Weather yesterday

Thought some of you might like to see this. Video was taken yesterday at the mouth of the Dealaware Bay. This is one of the Cape May - Lewis Ferries They are about 375-400 feet long. The Delaware Bay is regarded as one of the nastiest bodies of water on the East Coast. Have had my butt kick d many times on it and also have spent a few days waiting for it to calm down so I could move on with a boat.

Been on that ferry a few times, usually a nice, smooth ride... We had train cars blown off the tracks not too far south of us. And a TON of trees blown over.... Started as rain, heavy at times,,, turned to snow and got about 4 inches of HEAVY-WET snow with wind gusts over 70 mph

Got some wet snow my way but the worst of it was in the Golden Horseshoe Niagara Falls area.
The ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland is really bad some times... Video on Google or YouTube will have you running for Gravol and a PFD just watching those!

Well.....Here we go again in the North East. Started last week and all that white stuff is gone but just starting again and calling for 10-18 inches tonight.
I had just opened all my slides and was getting ready to get the RW ready to go next month. All closed up again.

That looks absolutely unbearably miserable!! Not to mention I'd have change out of my shorts & sandals.
Looking at that picture is as close to that cold white crap as I ever want to be again.

Ah Danny............it's not so bad as long as you don't have to drive to work in it, or go out and shovel it if you have the option not to do so. It's kind of pretty to just look out the window at it. I will have to admit though, that after being away from it in Florida for 4 years, it took a little time to re-adjust to the cold air again since we had to stay in Indiana this winter.

The robbins were back in the yard this week so spring can't be too far away. Yea!!

CRAZY weather here in CT. also. Just as bad as Joe had it and trees and wires down everywhere. We lucked out this time and power stayed on but just got our phone and internet back an hour ago.

Now they are talking that we could have another blast on Monday.

We're with Vaughan & Tracy, fun to watch on the Tele, but very glad we're not dealing with it any more. We'll wait until it's all gone before venturing back North.

Yes it can sure look Pretty, but it tends to get old real fast.
We prefer to just watch it long distance from here in Central Florida.
I used to drive 50 miles one way to work in that stuff, don't miss it a bit.

I spent 42 years working outside in that white crap. I prefer my shorts and flip flops this time of the year
