Types of GPS units being used by Redwood Owners

Hello, we are in process of purchasing a new Redwood 3901.

One for my concerns is encountering low clearance bridges.

Are there any GPS units out there that will help you to avoid those roads with low clearance?

Thank You
Francis Faulkner Jr

We use the Garmin for RVs. It’s helped us out more than once with low clearance bridges. Garmin RV 600

We use the Garmin 750 model made for Trucks and RV's, you set your height, weight ,length, width, and it takes you every where you want to go, upgrades to maps are free and easy to do, wouldn't be caught out there without one. Our preference of course.

I like the Rand Mcnally for RV's that Camping World carries. I have had mine for over 5 years. I find it is not as user friendly as the Garmin but has a lot more information. Take a look and compare.

Rand McNally has more info with better street info. Garmin is far more user friendly, all IMHO.

I have the Rand McNally and it works great keeps you out of tight areas and it puts you on the truck routes. Use it all the time, takes you right to the campground of your choice.

I have used a Rand-McNally RVND7720 since 2013. It is programmable with with the size of your RV. It has both a car mode and a RV mode. Just be sure to use the RV mode when towing.

I am starting to have issues with the battery. It no longer wants to take a charge. I need to see if it can be replaced.

We are looking to buy a new GPS. We have a Magellan made for RVs but the last couple of trips it's gotten goofy, by sending us in the totally wrong direction. If we'd not known how to get where we were going we'd have been in trouble. The GPS in our Ram truck works great but doesn't have a setting for RV length & height for overpasses, etc. Also when it automatically updates, we loose all of our settings, favorites, etc. We looked at Camping World today. The model our store has, the Rand McNally7 has bad reviews. Any input is appreciated!

I love my DEZL 770. Excellent anticipation, lots of perks for locating places of need or whim. Voice command works well. And of course length, width, height and weight. Routing options and much more.
