My wife bought this for me last year at Christmas. It has all of the features plus all of the campgrounds from Trailer Life are in it. She is a real nerd when it comes to techie things and seems to really like it.

We use the rand mcnally and have had no issues regarding height, etc. Been using it since 2012 and we have lifetime maps so we upgrade maps every few days as available from rand mcnally.

I bought Steve the Magellan RV Roadmate this past year and we also carry a map. My 2011 Ford I just bought I'm sure would need the map upgrade If I was thinking I would have added that into the deal. I looked on the ford site but they are around 150 so to much. I have no clue if it takes a card a cd or a slot opens and drops down. I'll have to research.

Other than screen size is there any other difference between the dezl760 and dezl560lmt?

We keep a current Rand Mcnally truckers atlas stuck between the pass seat and console.
Gives you highleted prefered routes for long tall rigs, also has chart of low clearances state by state. The Ford and box bought gps units are good, but have gotten me in trouble a few times. Use all three, common sense, and luck.

But I guess I am old school, I love a fold out paper map from a rest area. Too many years on 18 wheels.

ok, now my THIRD Garmin is being updated...

The 5" screen on my trusty ole Nuvi 5000 finally got too small and I ordered the rv760 with the backup camera and cable extension...
geeze it's big

hope it serves as well as the others I've had...

Where do you put it on that Truck John, It used to fit on the dash in my 2008, but this dash has a glovebox now. Down over the cup holders maybe?

So far just on the new 'sticky' mount on the dash...http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0035JL4V2
placed it just between the 'topbox' hump and the speedo cluster hump...
(to the left of the 'topbox')

The old bean bag mount I have for my other Garmnins bounced all over before, but so far this sticky mount is pretty good !!!

and, oh by the way, hate to admit it, but the new maps that just came out from Garmin are already better than the A5 we just put in sorry !!!

Did the 760 get a map update? Guess I better blow the dust off mine and update.

And ya - everything bounces around with a 1-ton dually I'm convinced. Not sure why I bothered with a touch screen sync -I haven't been able to pin the tail on the donkey with my finger yet going down the road I spend way too much time trying to reverse what I did by hitting the wrong button. Voice command for this lumber wagon it is

I have the 560 LMT coming it is one of my Christmas presents from the wife. I could be changing work assignment after the first of the year and the NUVI has gotten me in some awkward spots. She wanted me to feel more comfortable when towing. After reading about these two units on this forum we decided to try the 560.

Yes, a new map update came out for all the garmins.... I think 11-19-14 or so...

In case it's new to you,
just go to http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html and download the express program and it will update programs and maps...

The wife did good the new DEZL560 LMT came today and it was a kit so the sticky mount was included. I have a question for those of you who have the 560 or 760 is there a way to get the elevation to show on the screen? I really liked this feature on the NUVI.

Brian,
I also like RV Parky. I have also have found several other useful free apps that provide information on RV parks to include military campgrounds. Other free apps I found lists large fuel stations.

Articeman - both of the 'tabs' are user configurable,
click the direction tab on the bottom right to select what you want to show there...
