Parking the Redwood First Camping Trip

We learned a lot on the first camping trip with our Redwood. The first night we pulled into a site that was not level enough...tried a second site still not level enough and by that time John was so tired that we pulled it back to my dad's house 20 minutes away. UGH Second day back to the same campground and found a pull though site with solid ground. We had a great time in spite of our campground issue. This was at Pokagon State Park in Indiana. We now have a list of sites within this campground that will work.

Both one was front to back and second was side to side not to mention the sycamore tree limbs we accidentally brushed. It was about 8 inches right to left on the side problem. About a foot drop on the front to back and it got dark between the time we started with the first one and ended with the second and John is no stranger to backing equipment being born and raised on a farm. The front to back the front jacks were fully extended and the Jack in front left wheel was not touching the ground and it said it was fully extended. If this happens again I'm taking a photo because John said the Jack did not appear to be fully extended.

We just parked our new RW at a campground in OKC. Ground looks reasonably level and the auto leveling system says we are level, but on observation The Yurt is obviously listing toward the drain side. Does that sound right? It makes sense to be off level slightly for drainage off the roof and for gray water, but it's so glaringly tilted.

You may have to re-calibrate the Level-Up system. I have never done that yet myself, but, others on the forum have done the procedure.

The Level Up Automatic Leveling Manual is posted on the other forum...http://www.redwoodrvowners .com/redwo...num=1379973719
Go to the section for ZERO SETTING THE CONTROL [pg 3] and follow the instructions.

**Note: before performing the ZERO SETTING THE CONTROL you should manually level the coach both front to back & side to side.

Good luck.

We purchased a couple of sets of leveling blocks just for this purpose, they work wonderfully for these occasions and for when you get the dreaded "out of stroke" message on the Level Up control panel.
I add blocks where needed to level out the coach.
