looking for a park in central texas

We are trying to find a real nice park kinda in the central Texas area. Any hints are suggestions. We are looking into alsations rv golf and spa in Castroville and wonder if any one has tried them yet. We finally get to take our 2016 gk on its first maiden break in trip and want it to be special for my wife. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Texas is purty big
Not in central Texas,
but I can suggest The Vineyards in Grapevine,
or Mill Creek RV Ranch resort in Canton...

And if you come to either place and don't call us, shame on ya !!!

John,
We stayed at the Vineyard on the way back from FL this Spring.
Did not like it for the price

Not sure what you consider 'central' Texas, but there is a nice park near Edna, TX. Actually, two parks across from each other on Lake Texana.

One of them is Brackenridge Park, the other one is Lake Texana Park, (which use to be a state park). Both of these parks has pretty much spoiled us as far as sites are concerned. They are quite generous in size, the views are something you would want to wake up to in the mornings, and the parks are very well kept. They may not have a pool or a hot-tub, but they do have many paths for biking or walking, which we enjoyed.

Both campgrounds can be seen at this website:

Brackenridge Recreation Complex

Sunset Pointe in Marble Falls is a very nice park right on the shore of LBJ lake, not a big park, but very well maintained.

We have had two short trips in our new 2015 RW38RL...One to Guadalupe River Resort in Kerrville and one to Lady Bird Johnson State Park in Fredericksburg...loved them both. Headed to Pioneer RV Park in Port Aransas next week and Sunset Point on Lake LBJ in Marble Falls in mid July.

Navarro Mills Lake, Liberty Hill area is a beautiful place to camp. Lots of large 50amp sites, many with full hookups. Only problem right now it's UNDERWATER . We had reservations in early July and they have been cancelled. Still hoping it's back to normal by late July
