FINALLY got my plexiglass installed !

Had tried a while back and did a half heart-ed measurement so the results wee not what I wanted...
this time I allowed for the plexiglass to wedge into the groves on either side so instead of 27" wide they are 27 3/16"

bend them a bit and they slide ride in....
now the puppy can look outside while the AC still keeps him cool !

Also was given a nice outdoor misting fan by the kids that will come in handy !!!

Yes,
after a close look,
it actually looks like the door on our 38gk has the slots for sliding glass panels...

Not Pics that would help....
Went to Lowe's where they would cut the plexiglass for me...

look very closely at the inside of your screen door...

there is a small channel on either side where a sliding mechanism is probably installed on some.... (if we knew the mfg we could probably order it)

in my case the measurements were:

Bottom portion:
INSIDE width 27"
but since I wanted it to slide in the 'slots' on either side I went with 27 5/16".

on MINE it was 20.5" high to rest on the matching "outermost" lip that lined up with the slots.

there are no slots on top and bottom so just slid one side of they plexiglass into the slot, arched the plexiglass enough to slide the other side in and wallah ! it snapped into place... nothing needed to hold it 0 although I had bought some fasteners if need be)

(one note - better to be long than short (you can always trim more!)
so measure carefully - the slot on mine is about 3/16 inch on either side)

for the center section I just did a peice 9.5" high x 14" long that lets the sliding portion slide over it...

then the TOP section was TOUGH... I chose not to worry about the curved top and just did mine 27 5/16 wide x 31? so it's square to close off most of it - to do it right you should cut the curves...

OR get some double velcro and mount it on the OUTSIDE of the slots that way the size is not as critically and you just overlay the perimeter...

good luck !

I cut the plexiglass myself and did this for both of our doors. Took about an hour for each door. If you use the outside channel and don't cut it too tight it's pretty easy to remove when you want the airflow.

Would someone please explain this plexiglass and how it works. Are you talking about in front of a door or where exactly are you putting this plexiglass for your dog. We have a Welsh Terrier who will be traveling with us when we pick up our Redwood Friday.

It's on the screen door. Keeps dogs or cats from scratching the screen and the wind out.

Well,
in our case it's to keep him from bolting THROUGH the screen like he's already done once

At Adamsvr is correct, it's basically an overlay for the screens so light and view are available, but air conditioning, dog, etc... doesn't fly out !

We are considering it as one of the first tasks this summer as our Shepherd has pushed a part of the screen out at the bottom, just by leaning her head on the door. basically it will protect the screen, but still let light in.

It is like this company started http://rvdoorbuddy.com/ but I don't think they are in business anymore. I have tried multiple times to contact them.
