Chesapeake Bay in the Fall

We just made reservations at Tall Pines Harbor Campground for Oct 7-14. If any of you Eastern Redwoodites would like to join us we'd love company.

It's a waterfront campground on the Bay on Virginias Eastern Shore just south of Pocomoke City, MD. First time going there but reviews are good and we have a site right on the water facing the Chesapeake. Should also be a fun area to explore.

So far we've seen 2 Redwoods here at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle. Of course we stopped and chatted with the owners, one guy was pretty nice so we asked if they knew about the forum which he hadn't but they didn't seem interested. The second redwood guys thought we were crazy and we rode away feeling like we imposed lol I don't care I'll never see them again.

I wondered if that's the reaction some might get. I guess having a Redwood in common isn't necessarily enough to make you friends.

Where we camp at the lake every year, there is another Redwood there every year, yet not a boo from them. However, there is a Rushmore there every year and they talk to us every time. Guess its more the people than the rig.

It is a people thing, I have had the same experience, some people will talk to you and some think you are nuts for even saying Hi in passing.

I have found about 1/2 the Redwood people we see in our travels will talk to you about their coach and their experience, the rest are offended you even looked at them as you walk by.
