Cajun Palms RV Resortx

We just got setup at Cajun Palms in Henderson, Louusiana. I see a Redwood toy hauler on the next row from me.

Ya those are cool! If it's the full body paint, those were gorgeous. If I was in the market for a toyhauler I would seek one of those if I could find it.

Yeah, we actually looked at two of them @ Exploreusa in North Dallas when we were shopping, but the compromises inside were more than we wanted and 'SHE who must be obeyed' really liked the 38gk at the time.

And I KNOW how hot it is at Cajun Palms this weekend

of course you know about Landry's right on the corner by you in Henderson! Yum !

and in Lafayette you gotta try T-Coon's red beans and rice !
the proverbial hole in the wall, but great lunches !

we were going to the bakery next door and the parking lot was overflowing so we all said let's try it !

ya, I was over-ruled by the "she" type as well. She was thinking big beautiful kitchen and living room, and she knew if she let me have any part of the final decision we would have a smelly old garage in the back with dirt vehicles leaking 2-stroke oil on the floor and smelly fuel tanks underneath and that's where I would be drinking beer with the boys all the time............kind of like at home now

Uh.... whatever Brad. We have seen your garage, it's like a surgery. I do not detect any 2 stroke oil anywhere in the vicinity. :-)

hahahaha - it was just great until a month ago and I backed the "Clydesdale" in there not knowing it was pumping diesel fuel to the ground as fast as it could. I still have a lingering smell. Used a new out of the box crinkly hose on it and it ate clean through it in less than 10 minutes and it looked like a soaker hose until it failed entirely.

Not a problem - got reservations for the dfw area yet ?
I can make some recommendations... what side of the metroplex do you want to stay in as it can be 2 hours across it at the wrong time of day ?

(Most of the corps of engineers places and The Vineyards are closed until further notice from the flooding we had a few months ago)

Pilot Knolls is open - actually opened last Wednesday

of course 90 minutes east in Canton is Mill Creek
let me know

Ron, I highly recommend Sunset Point in Marble Falls if that's not where you already had planned.

We just went by there this weekend while scoping out local parks around the area and while down it's still got water all the way up to the entrance area.

and from the looks of it, I'm not sure the water will be gone before October

they are looking for kayaking volunteers to clean out the trees as the water recedes so they don't have to climb trees once the water is gone !
zoom in on this pic (as close as we could get to the entrance) and u can see the water coming from the right in front and behind the entrance building...

And if I recall, the entrance building is the highest point in the park !
just imagine all the 'stuff' floating in that water in and around the electric pedestals, wash rooms, restrooms, dump station, etc...

think it's going to be a long time... do a search for Pilot Knolls in Highland Park, Tx not nearly as nice as The Vineyards, but on the lake and MUCH cheaper !

and it's mandatory anyone coming to DFW has to check in with us
