Arizona

We have spent winters in Mazatlan MX for the past 25 years. We get back to Iowa around March 5th and hope to head to Arizona and explore some nice RV parks that include some activities and socializing. Does anyone have an area or RV park that they think is the absolute best? We would check out a few in March and in 2021 we would spend considerable time thee during our cold Iowa winters

We've stayed in Wilcox at a newly remodeled KOA before & after the remodel, Benson at Cochise Terrace, couple different ones in Mesa/Apache Junction area but don't recall the names, Palm Creek in Casa Grande, Voyager in Tucson & recently sold our RW to buy a modular home in Picacho Peak RV Resort between Tucson/Phoenix on I-10 which we really enjoy.
All in this part of south central Arizona are nice areas, some parks were much too large for us while others were too pricey, I'd recommend any of those mentioned, it depends on what you want or are looking for.
Since arriving in March you might be good as to getting into most parks, but I'd be getting a reservation as soon as possible, any earlier you would've needed to reserve last March. Beginning about now the populations of this area starts increasing steadily to approximately 2-3 times normal, maybe more in some areas.
Enjoy the adventure!

We have been going to Palm Creek in Casa Grande for several years. Lots of activities. We really enjoy it.

As Danny said, mostly it depends on how crowded you want to be vs. how many activities you wish, and the variety of facilities you would use. We've stayed at on of the big RV parks in Mesa for several winters, and generally like the atmosphere. I know there are folks that don't want that many crowds around. There's probably 20-25 very large RV park communities in and around Mesa to choose from.

We also spent a couple of winters at Palm Creek in Casa Grande. It is a great park with lots of activities. Have now changed our wintering to South Texas.

I’ve been looking for an RV Park in Phoenix area for next year for Spring Training. So far I’ve struck out (no pun intended) on finding a place. Most are booked out far in Advance in the spring. I’ve also found most are 55 and older which I don’t qualify yet. Good luck with your search.

We’ve stayed at Tombstone Territories RV Park between Benson and Sierra Vista in March. About the right size and perfect weather.

Assuming travel is safe this fall we would like to visit Sedona and Prescott AZ this fall. Any suggestions on places to stay in the area?
Thanks

Rancho Sedona is an excellent location if you can get a spot. Lots of small sites but few sites big enough for a Redwood.

Colorado; You're probably already here, but we go to Point of Rocks campground in Prescott from time to time for weekend getaways. Small park, but very nice people. Great hiking and a nice lake (lake Watson) very close. And Prescott has some rich history too, very nice area. Enjoy!

I would just second the Voyager RV resort in Tucson, lots of activities and a restaurant. Also, Camp Verde for the Sedona area.
