Upper Cabinet hinges

K - was looking at the cabinet hinges to take some play out of them (they 'droop' a bit when not closed)

From the pic below,
know I can take the screws on top and bottom off to remove complete hinge,

but is it the back screw I back off to release just the door part of the hinge ?

What are the other screws for ? adjustment ? tightening?

Would tightening down the screws make it a more solid feeling ?

thanks in advance...

Google "How to adjust cabinet hinges" and they show how to adjust them. Very easy to do.

The other screw is to move the door side to side. So if your door isn't "plumb" you can adjust that screw.

The two screws provide 2-axis adjustment. When adjusting observe what moves for each screw. On my Redwood one screw changes the gap/spacing of the door outward in inward while the other changes the gap where the two doors meet in the center. I have similar adjustable hinges at home which have three screws so that the in addition to in/out and tilt to gap another screw adjust the vertical spacing of each door. One day at Home Depot I reviewed these type of hinges and was surprised to find that there were different types of adjustments that the 2-screw (two different hinges that looked similar) could make. Could be worth the time to do a dry run on an eye level/easy to work with door. You Tube could also be a source for observing how to adjust these hinges.
