Tire Wear

I am starting to get tire wear on the inside edge of our a couple of our G614's
We have only towed our RW about 5,000 miles, is this an axle alignment issue?
What is the best way to correct, correct track installation and alignment?

I know on my new g614's the outside 'edges' came smooth - lessens the scrubbing when turning/twisting that double axled monster !

I always lower my side mirrors so I can 'aim' the tires at the spot I want to park and WOW do they twist to scary angles sometimes

RW reimbursed me for an alignment at last year's rally. After talking to the guy at the shop they recommended, it would probably be a good idea to get an alignment. He said that Lippert specs were good til you get them loaded & then they are out of alignment. My front axle was way off on castor & camber, rear axle wasn't nearly as bad, wore out right front tire towing from Texas to Indiana.

Look at all your tires. If you're having a suspension issue, the tires won't all wear the same. When I had issues, I think it was the drivers side rear tire and the passenger side front that were wearing bad.

After we had the equalizer break and then a problem with the leaf spring we too noticed the tires seemed to be wearing unevenly and had them checked out at the Indianapolis Redwood Dealer who performed the leaf spring replacement. Colerain said the looked in align to them yet he outside of was wearing......

I could write a book about my Redwood and tires. Lost one tire at approx 6K miles, down to the steel tread, replaced it, continued trip. Had axel recambered per Redwood, then axel replaced. Lost 2 tires to blow outs, replaced all four; had suspension weld break, had 2 like new tires rub together, Redwood fixed suspension, Lippert recommended Goodyear G614s, purchased 4, had new Mor Ryde suspension installed, had to replace 4 Goodyear tires at 9400 miles, replaced with Hercules; had to fix MorRyde suspension, Hercules tires still OK; Jury still out on Hercules tires, will advise as we only have 6K miles on them.

I imagine the Colerain guy stood back 10' or so and said (yep, she looks good to me).

Dave, I would pay your commission in good bourbon then we could share. As for traveling, we have approximately 56K on the coach and counting!!

I was in front of the guy that towed my RW to my site, and it kind of looked like my unit was kind of running a little sideways. Hopefully, it might have been an illusion from looking backwards though my drivers side rear view mirror on my truck. I hope so.

Ya know a moving target is hard to hit. Besides Sam really enjoys seeing this great country of ours as do I. We are going to scale back our trips this summer but initial plans are VA, WV, FL, GA, TN, and IN. We would travel more but the cost of repairs to our truck and our Redwood have caused a reduction in the length of our travel for 2015. As for preferring Bourbon over Scotch, it is easy for me as I do not like scotch but will gladly serve it to those who have a liking and visit with us while we travel (Scotch is cured in used bourbon barrels so I guess us bourbon drinkers support the scotch industry!!)

I used to be a Chivas Regal as a preference - but for some reason I acquired a taste for whiskey. I like to go tour the distilleries and try all types.

A little moonshine is fun sometimes as well.
