We were out looking at RV's today and found these on a Grand Design. Factory installed and folded up in the same location as normal stairs. A bit strange looking but very sturdy.

How do you like your new ones. I like ours for the motion light underneath because they lite up good. They are way more flexible than the original steel ones and flex to much for my liking

Agreed Shane. I like the ease of fold up right now and looks but they do flex quite a bit. I have that same adjustable thing under ours as you do. The ones pictured above were just like walking on a solid staircase. I saw a bunch also today with the tri step by Lippert with a completely different frame design and much more solid but as I said they were only 3 steps.

It looks to me like the only reason those steps are sturdy is because they have 2 feet that have to touch the ground which means that if I am set up on uneven ground they would not work very well and if they have an adjustment it would be a PITA to set up each time I move. Just an observation. I'll stick with the original steel steps.

I have 2 adjustable stops under the bottom end of these ones. When you step on the third step from the top it lifts the 4th or bottom step up. they would probably be fine if the steel frame was sturdier or built with the same outer frame as the original. The aluminum step is fine but the steel outer is a lighter gauge steel than the originals which is causing the flexing allowing to much flex when using

I may be wrong but hopefully the 2 bottom feet are adjustable

Have to look into the new Lippert ones I mentioned that are the three step. Have to see if they make a quad. Frame was all aluminum but half inch stock. Very nice. Will be back next week so will take a picture.

We love the RW but we were just exploring what was out there with more storage. GD had it but no wow factor at all to me. The only one that caught my eye today with lots of storage and within our budget was Thors Berkshire XLT pusher with tag. Tons of storage and 44 feet. Just don't know if we want to go back to a MH.

Guess either way will have to keep the RW since I would never want to be without our friends here on the forum.

We have looked at MHS and have friends with 1,0000000 Prevost but to me you are still in a bus and the living area just seems smaller. They are very fancy with all the glitz and glitter but not for us

Steve , those Glowsteps were originally created for the truck camper folks... They caught on , and Torklift created a set for trailers...

The folks over at RV.Net really rave about them, but they do look flimsy to me... I was a Torklift product evaluator for a few years, they would ship me stuff for free , I would try it out, fill out a report and keep the product. If I liked the product, I was to hit up all the forums talking it up, if I did not like the product, I did not have to do anything...Best gig I had for a bit ! ! !

We also looked at the GD's , nice but like you said NO WOW factors...

My daughter had those on her truck camper (don't know what brand) and they were solid, but they had their issues. Because they use the ground for stability, you have to be level or shim up the staircase. Sometimes hers looked more like a ramp than a step because the treads would all tilt downward so they could reach the ground.
