There is a large round light or ?? mounted at the front top corner of the entry side under the awning. It is approximately 6 to 9 inches in diameter. What is it? If in fact it is a light where do you turn it on?

Thanks

Supposedly called a "scare light" as it is quite bright and gives a lot of coverage if you hear a raccoon or bear vandlizing your truck or something.

My old Holiday Rambler 5th had one at all four corners which was quite useful. This should be an option on our Redwoods.

On an RL, the top row of switches above the thermostat contols it. I think it's the left switch when facing it.Edited by: 5th_Time

On my 2013 RL it's the far right switch on the bottom row. It is right next to the porch light.

on my 2012 RL it is the middle switch on the bottom. It comes on the same time as the one above the door. Funny how the same model has the same switch in different places.

This light allows you to see who you're shooting late at night

On our 2012 36FB there are two banks of switches at the stairs between the kitchen & bath. One bank has 3 switches; LR, Kitchen & Island. The other bank has two switches; one for the exterior porch light (amber bulb above the entry door) the second switch controlstwoseparateexterior white lights; one above the entry door (in samereceptacleas porch light) and the other is the scare light at the front entry side corner.

We had an old Holiday Rambler Imperial (96 model) that had 4 of those lights. They were "security" lights according to the switch on the wall in the living room of the HR. Real bright lights, a definite plus if you are wandering around your coach at night. I agree that RW should offer those as an option as they are quite helpful

I like that Redwood just puts it on one side so you can actually use it as a yard light. Our last rig had them on both sides tied to the the same switch so you couldn't use them without blinding your neighbor. Edited by: atom ant

Speaking of which, the amber light is a bug light. The bugs don't migrate to it as much as the white scare light.

Well. Now I am totally baffled. I simply cannot find a switch for that light. I have a 2013 36 rl. None of the 6 switches in the stair hallway by the thermostat control it. Nothing in the bedroom or closet either. I am stumped.

On our 2012 36RL you need to turn off the scare light and turn on the amber light. It's the last switch on the bottom row to the right.

In the 36RL just to the right of the stairs there are two rows of light. Bottom row left to right is hallway, porch light, scare light. Top row left to right is light over sink, overhead on right of living room, overhead on left side of living room.

Ok. My bottom row left to right is the hallway light the porch light and the last one is the bug light. Would the bug light also turn on the scare light? If so you may be right about a bad bulb.

The middle one (porch light) on the bottom row should be it. Does the light come on?

The middle switch turns on my light over the door. The switch to the right of middle turns on the bug light.
