well it went to the dealer after having it a week. Come to find out the reason the slide tore the 24 inch hole in the floor was because the floor was built incorrectly. actually few inches too high. the entite slide and kitchen floor has to come out.So now it will have to go back to the factory. also the jacks couldnt be fixed today they think its a computer problem. The fridge was actually fixed today the fan didn't work and when they built it they left a piece of plywood in the upper vent. it should have been cut out.now the small stuff the shower leaked everywhere, the trim is falling off and couple surround speakers don't work. I dare anyone to top that. what a worthless piece of crap.

That degree of inattention to detail and total lack of QC is inexcuseable. That's just sooooo unfortunate.

its lucky the fridge didn't burn it down it was so hot. I go to bed every night thinking will it burn down tonight. I wish they would buy it back and haul it back to Indiana and tear it apart and look at all the problems. maybe a training excerise.

I don't remember where I saw the pic, but the owner reported the same problem. In his case, it nearly burned his camper to the ground as the heat had already begun to burn adjacent wood. SCARY!!

Haha. I hear ya. Do a search on this forum and RV.net. These are the only two RV forums I follow with any frequency. Good luck.

We kind of had the same floor problem with the Carriage we had before only not quite so bad. When we run the slide in, it would roll the carpet. Had to take a little off the bottom trim board, but no major damage done.

WOW!

I have measured the temp in the top section of the fridge (upper vent cover area) in the summer with the original vent fan and a second vent fan running and the temp was about 140 degrees.

My refrigerator turned off completely twice. I took it to my dealer and the man said there's a sensor in the bottom access door where it plugs in. He showed me the little black box (sensor). He told me if it shuts off again to just connect the two wires and bypas it. Okay I did that when it shut off and it works! The problem I see now that I read about the heat issues is that "the sensor" shuts off the refrigerator if it gets too hot!! This weekend I'm going to take the top vent off and really look at it. The last thing I want is for my rv to catch on fire!!!

OK, I looked through your 300 pictures of the same 6 or so blemishes and some would bug me, others are over critical, but my big question is, why are you sitting in your driveway documenting them. If you have such aversion to the blemishes, why did you accept it off the lot? Nail putty and paint issues didn't show up later!

Hummm, Ron says no clear coat?? There is something wrong here. My Redwood has clear coat on it. I paint cars and hotrods as a hobby. I use base/clear. My Redwood was scratched last winter by some tree branches when on a street with untrimmed trees. My mistake. I sanded and polished the scratches out the same way I polish cars. When wet sanding clear it is a white sanding debris that comes off-NOT the color!!! I was sanding Clear-no question!!! My Redwood has a good base/clear paint job. Not perfect but good. Some orange peel-yes but not more than most production cars and trucks.

I'm just having a hard time with all of your problems and the comments that you attributing to Ron(Normal for floor scratches?). A hole in the awning and motor not working. Don't see how one coach could have so many problems. Who is your dealer?Edited by: Blenhardt
