Thanks Shane......also used a cutoff wheel for some existing screws petruding thru the metal cabinet wall that would have interfered with placement of the mounting bracket. Not sure if yours ( cabinet) is the same. Just a heads up.

Really a quality made mount & is plenty durable for this mod. You do have to take your time to properly position the mount so that there is clearance for the TV to properly swing out. I made a cardboard template the exact size of the TV and taped it to the face of the mount (that actually attaches to the rear of the TV) and positioned it before securing, to make sure that there would be proper clearance later on. I was able to get my hand around the back of the metal wall (couple of small openings to do so) to actually get a few bolts & nuts thru but it's kinda tricky & be prepared for scraped elbow(s). Used the supplied lag bolts in other spots on the mounting plate......it's not going anywhere. If you guys do this mod just take your time & think it out & it should go well. A shame that Redwood didn't do this in the first place !
That's great Mike. Great idea with the cardboard template. We love the ability to pivot the TV in any direction!

No problem Shane. Believe it not, when I was at Mor/ryde getting my Disc brakes and IS done, I asked about buying the mount right there. They quoted me $149.00... I showed them the price at Makarios and they basically said I would be better off buying it from Makarios. I think they like to keep their distributors happy by not selling stuff cheaper unless it's something like "Rally pricing" They indicated if I come back next year for the IS inspection, they could sell me the slide tray at the rally price.

Good luck,

Tim

After installing it, I think I may have been OK with their lighter-duty arm which is the same, just not quite as stout....

This is the link for the lighter version:

How long of a wait did you have after ordering this mount for delivery?
