Need help, want to change faucet

Saw a neat picture from someone yesterday where a competitor to Redwood put hinges on the outside panel of the kitchen island. Very smart!

I am going to change the faucet on our 2015 38RL anyone knows if it is possible to easy remove the panel to get to the pipes inside?

Knowing how most RV cabinets are constructed, by stapling and glueing 3/4" cleats to the face fronts and attaching the panels to them, I am sure it would be no easy task. Pretty sure you would end up breaking the panels on the sides since they are thinner. If it was built like the Landmark by Heartland showed on their site, no problem. I would be very cautious about doing that.

Don't do it! That's what they told me at service. I asked the same question. Chris is right, and that's what they told me at service. They said they try really hard not to take them off because of this. They use an elongated tool to reach up (and a mirror) to work on the faucets, believe it or not. YES, sounds like a pain in the A, I want to change mine out too!!

That tool is standard for any kitchen - stick houses are the same and typically with no rear access behind those deep bowl sink. That's how butt cracks got started

Changed mine out (have a DW) & what a PITA. As with most repairs on these, or any rv, if I were 4' tall with arms 6' & a couple more joints in them & 1 eye you could take out & move around it would be a pleasure to repair about anything.

Your local hardware or big box home improvement center will have the tool you need - a basin wrench.

Ok, thanks for all answers. Will try to replace it myself. Not so afraid anymore to do some work myself after changing and replacing the pipes/PEX under the bed.

doing the actual faucet work would not be an issue with me - have had the basin wrench for a while...

BUT getting between the island and the slide cabinets AND working - even having lost 30 lbs, it's still not going to happen ---

Taking the under sink cabinet doors off MIGHT help, but oh my....

Our kitchen faucet was leaking, we had the dealer repair it, so far so good.

Changing the fixture would be a real pain, even white the basin wrench I can't imagine the contortions I'd have to do to get under the sink to reach in with the wrench...this one I believe I'd have to send to the dealer and pay the price!!

There should be screws holding the counter top down. Remove the screws and lift it up after disconnecting the water and drain.

Ok...I guess I was wrong on that idea.....could they cut an access panel like we do in our homes and put a door on it?
