Maxx Air Fan

We have a gearbox in our Maxx Air Fan that is failing. I found some on here who have had them send new gearboxes at no charge. I seem to be getting pushback from a customer service rep on email. Anyone else done this recently?

We had a gear box that was failing awhile ago. Emailed and was given the part number for our fan. But our Redwood is an 2012 so way out of warranty. Can't remember the cost but it was between $17 and $20 if i recall correctly with shipping. Simple 10 minute fix and all has been good since the swap. Doubt they would cover my part as we are second owners and due to the age of the unit.

For any that fail the MFR should send a replacement since they refuse to install a more reliable gear box. We've had three or four failures in our '16 39MB with replacements sent my MaxxAir

Also had 3 of the operaters sent free of charge.
I think the manufacturer is Airxcel (or something like that) & you'll need serial/model number found under the cover on the roof.
