You're correct in your remembrance and I would agree with Ryan. When we weighed our RL back when we did ours the weight would have been at the upper end of the 7k but would have been fine. We talked with Gary Wheeler and a couple if the tech people and since we knew we were going fulltime down the road and would be loaded heavier we went with the 8k. My sticker gvw from RW is 17,500. Right now I'm at about 18,300 last time on CAT.
