It just so happens we sprang a hair thin leak under the sink this past weekend. The plastic line under the sink had a very thin stream that was barely noticeable where it goes behind the spice rack in the line itself and not at a connection. Noticed the water puddle just under the dish washer. Turned the water to the line off.

Shane, I am with you, good grief! Sit back and enjoy your REDWOOD, still the best looking rig in the campground, bar none!

Very well said Shane. I agree with you 100%.

Refrigerator Leaking in 2015 39MB

My husband is not a happy camper! We have just last month purchased a 2015 39MB and are preparing it for our first trip. When he connected the water, he discovered there was a leak coming from the refrigerator. We have no idea how to disconnect the water going to the ice maker or how to repair it. This unit was supposed to get a thorough inspection from the dealer where we purchased it. The dealer is located about 250 miles from us, so returning it for repair is not feasible at this time. Can anyone help?

Look under the sink in the island there is a shutoff valve. My ice maker line just sprung a leak behind the spice rack after 2 years. I replaced it with a stainless braided hose from home Depot

This has been an issue with many of our rigs. Many of us have just turned the water off (as Shane said) and left it off. I've left mine off, just don't want to deal with a water leak..........water always wins!

Thanks! We found the shut off valve under the sink. My husband says he is seeing the water under the fridge so we do not know if it is a leak in the ice maker line or somewhere else in the fridge. Does anyone else have any ideas?

ice maker line

I pulled a new line by tying on to the old line from outside. Cut the head off wood screw, threaded both old and new line together then put heat shrink on and just pulled line back through...helps if your wife or some one feeds the line from the other end though............. I replaced my ice maker water line with a Stainless braided line from Home Depot a couple of weeks ago.
The FL floorplan is easy to replace the ice maker water line, it goes from the sink behind the oven to the refrigerator. Pulled out the top drawer between the sink and the oven to aid in routing the line and then attached the line to the drawer frame with a zip tie for additional support.
Bought a 10 Ft Stainless braided line, only need about 6 feet of line so the balance is rolled up and zip tied under the sink.

I'm pretty sure and hope I'm wrong but only a matter of time. The great thing about these forum's is you can be proactive on some items and fix them before the problem arises

Great idea. Question though, how do you access the back of the refrigerator? Mine's set in the slide and secured. Do you need to pull the refrig out to access the connection?? Thanks!

In our 38RL with Whirlpool residential side-by-side, I had to remove the anchor screws, remove the left door and tilt the refrigerator toward the island. That allowed enough room to reach the connection and remove the old line. I also had to drill a new access hole through the floor to install the braided line. I measured as best I could and drilled a pilot hole. I could not thread the braided line through the existing line route. Zero problems with the new line.

Why did you remove the left door? Where is the water connection to the refer! I got a 25' braided line that went from the sink to the cabinet under the oven so I still have to run the last 5'.

If I remember correctly I had to take the left door and freezer door off in order to get enough room to tilt the refrigerator. I guess you could try it without removing the doors first. Here are the details I posted on the other forum:

1. It takes about 30 feet of line to run from the back of the fridge, through the floor, along the slide, through the underbelly, and up to the island connection. I used a 10 ft and 20 ft braided line from Lowe's.

2. With a helper, carefully slide the refrigerator forward about 12 inches, protecting the bottom slide trim where the refrigerator will rest. Then take the left refrigerator door off including disconnecting the water and electrical connection in the top hinge. Water disconnects by pushing on the colored washer while pulling the door-side water line out of the quick-connection. Take the freezer door off with four screws that attach to the bracket.

3. Carefully slide the refrigerator farther toward the island where it can tilt. The existing water line on the fridge has about 4 ft coming out of the fridge where I could disconnect the RV water line without taking the fridge all the way out and having to get behind the fridge.

4. I drilled a new hole from the bottom of the slide through the floor as close as I could reasonably get to the cabinet wall and slide wall. The new line is larger and wouldn't fit through the old holes.

5. Feed the line through the bottom and attached to the fridge line.

6. Cover the outside line with split foam pipe insulation and thread it through the underbelly and up to the sink. Connect at the sink. Turned on the water at the sink and checked for leaks. Put everything back together.

7. Sealed up the old and new holes in the bottom of the slide with silicon.

Hope that helps.

I fixed mine by turning off the water under the sink and buying ice then placing it in the bin of the freezer. No leaks so far and more time for a cold one.

BTW.... Wife is addicted to Sonic Ice
