What bulb is it ?

Sorry - it's at the storage lot - or I'd just look

I second the motion on the LED swap, hardest part is prying off the outer ring. I replaced mine & another RW this past winter & a couple of them the installer got a little carried away with the silicone, used a plastic putty knife(actually about 3, kept breaking) & took my time, no scratches on either one.

Thanks, ran by the parts store and got 1157 and a few others...
unscrewed the three ring binder and then WHAT !?!?

it's glued together !?!?

I stopped there since I would probably break something getting it off...

what's the best way to get it off ?

I thought all the work you guys did was just to swap the whole light assembly out... not needed for just a bulb !

so laid down on the VERY uncomfortable limestone rocks @ the storage area hoping I could get to it from the bottom and nope - all enclosed...

Dang -
just finished replacing 5 bulbs inside and only been on 3 rv trips...

if the bulbs RW use burn out every 5 minutes wish they'd make it easier to swap out...

wonder if Amazon has the led's - prime can get them in before out trip...

Many of us who are converting to LED's purchase them from M4 Prodects
http://www.m4products.com. I believe they have the conversion kits for the light assemblies.

thanks !
just pulled the plastic tools out of the tool box and going to give it another attempt tomorrow...

I was trying to get the outside ring off and it was bending - would have snapped with any more...
so will get behind the whole fixture tmo...

By replacing with the led fixtures, it should be the last time you have to do it.

Replaced all off our interior lights with M4 LED lights. Love them, I have not pursued replacing the outdoor lights on the RW with LED,.

Ok, figured it out....

It wasn't the tail light, it was the pigtail I was trying to use to make it easier to reach around the tall 350's tailgate and fender
probably needs some 'polishing' up to make better connection...

Troubleshooting 101...
the issue is usually the last thing changed
