Is there a gravity fill for the fresh water tank or is it just through the convenience center? Is the fresh water tank at the rear?

As far as I know they only way to fill your fresh water tank is through the convenience center. The fresh water tank is in the front so it will add about 900 lbs of wiehgt. This will also affect your tow vehicle's rear axel weight.

I took a piece of water line, a shutoffand 2 tees and made a tank fill. Tee into the city hookup line on the back side of the convenience center and into the line coming up from the fresh water tank with the shutoff in the line between the two.Now when I want to put water in the tank, I just open the little access door in the basement, open the shutoff, and backfill the water tank. This way I can fill the tank without messing with changing hoses around. I've done this on the last 2 campers that we have had.

RCFlame - how did you fill the tank before you did that? I assumed there was already a valve in the convenience center that does that (pressure fill).

What I'm really trying to figure out is how to add clorox to sanitize the tank, and I couldn't see a gravity fill.

Tank is in the front (gulp) I was hoping it was in the back so I could reduce a little weight on the pin . I'm surprised the front isn't reserved for all the wast tanks, as most the drains are up there.

I have a 2012 36RL and the fill is in the convenience center. I use a funnel when I add something to clean the tank. It has worked so far for me. YEs the tank is in the front. At least that is where the drain is for it.

there is a gravity fill in the convenience center for fresh water. it is located to the left of the fresh water city connection, just unscrew the cap and fill the fresh water tank

Ah! I see it now. I was looking for something on the back.

Thanks all - I guess hauling water around would be a mistake - I couldn't handle even half that weight on the front.

Recommend that you only carry a few gallons to work the toilet in an emergency situation due to the weight

I always carry 1/3 tank of fresh water. I don't have any problem with the weight since my truck can carry it. I've been in situations where I've been stuck in a location where for one reason or another the water was shut off (or in an emergency situation). I like knowing that I could stop in any parking lot or wide section of the road and survive the night with showers in the morning. I also like the ride better with that weight. I guess I'm just always prepared for about anything but this may not work for you.

When going to state parks I've also traveled with full water.
