OK folks - what started out to be a simple task.....

I had two of the outer slide seals tear when they stuck to the paint on the slide. I stopped at a Redwood dealer and got replacement seals and they gave me Sikasil-GP to caulk the seals to the coach like factory. I can't get this stuff to stick to the rubber seals. I've tried 3 times now and cleaned everything with alcohol before retrying. Even tried a new tube and 2 weeks cure time. It just peals off the rubber.

Anybody have better luck with a different caulking?

I was hoping you had a solution by now :-). Pulled in my main slide and the slide seal on the rig itself came off. Put it back on, there is a channel that it pushes on to, and used a good outdoor caulk. Haven't pulled in my slides yet.

My 38GK did the same thing. I put the seal back on but it started pulling it off when I tested the slide. There's not enough clearance at the back of the slide in my opinion. I've already moved into mine to live full time, but it will have to go in for service.

I think I'll stop by Camping world and grab some Pro-Flex. I've used it before, but didn't know it came in clear until now. I'll let you know how it works out.
