As we are approaching our first year of ownership, I was curious how much (if anything) people were being charged for the annual inspection.

Ours was about $45.00. I have heard from 0 to a several hundred. I think it all depends on the dealer.

Interesting to see the difference in fees.

If you are able to visit the Crossroads Factory Service Center at Topeka, Indiana, there is no charge for the annual warranty inspection.

Interesting on Toscanos. We had our inspection in Feb 2013 and there was a fee.

This is not the first time this thread has come up, it seems to be an ongoing issue. When we purchased our36FB this past april I asked our dealer, Southern RV, about this and was assured that there would be no charge for the annual inspection but that in addition to the warranty inspection they would also perform annual maintenance which we would be charged for.

I have no problem with paying for maintenance items, I can pick and choose what I want them to do...or do myself.

I don't think ours would have passed as delivered.

Our 1 yr inspection last year was free... they also touched up minor roof tears and washed it for free.

Just got mine back and there was no cost to us, they will also do a roof inspection every 3 months free, but I have to pay for any repairs. They did re-caulk it free on the yearly inspection.

Sorry that happened. The Dealer really should have caught all that.

We got in a little early to our delivery and learned a bit about the system. The dealer went over everything and built a list of things that needed fixed. After Redwood approved the repairs, and they didn't approve all of them, the Dealer charged it back and we had to sign that the repairs were done. To me that would be plenty of incentive to make sure everything was good out the door.
