Annual Inspection and manuals, etc...

Wow, finally found someone to do it for a reasonable price!
But, given that I was ready to leave it and he told me don't even unhook, it will only take a minute! Paying for this is a real joke

He asked for my manual with the form in it and I said, what manual !?! I don't have a manual, I just printed the form from the forums...

So he gave me a manual that I never had seen before it's only 6 x 8 inches or so and surprisingly good !

took all of 10 minutes for the inspection
and 20 minutes when he asked how I liked the rv so it took that long just talking about the issues I've had....

He was great and said send me a list... and we can work you in !

OBVIOUSLY some change in mgmt happened around here

and maybe some of you will find this LCI manual useful:

John,
Where did you go? I'm surprised you didn't have the manual in your big black bag with the Redwood logo.......

Nope!
had all kinds of useless mfg manuals that are easily obtained online, but not that one

Went to ExploreUSA Fort Worth believe it or not... Same place that quoted me $250 - $350 to do it

made for a return customer !

We too did not receive a manual. Called RW and they sent me one and said the inspection sheet was on pg 52 ?? When I received it, pg 52 was nothing but a bunch of lines. Called RW and talked to the dealer side and she said, Oh, you got a 2015 manual, not a 14 manual. She emailed pg 52 from a 14 manual to me.

We discussed what the purpose was of the annual and she stated that starting in 15, they no longer have the +5 on the warranty. Meaning that All RW's have a 2 year bumper to bumper, but prior to 15, you have 3 more years of coverage on "the guts". Meaning, framing, walls, guts, etc. The reason for the annual is to be sure no leaks are found in the roof, caulking, silicone etc. This is to preserve the integrity of the structure.

Starting in 15, you have a 2 year warranty and that is it, no annual required.

Sooooo, since we have an extended service contract, I am thinking of blowing off the annual since we are covered after 2 years anyway. Plus, I don't have an "authorized service center" within 4 hours drive that I...

Well, nuff said on that.

Redwood told me 3 weeks ago to take to nearest REDWOOD DEALER ONLY and leave until inspected. So pack my RV after BEING parked for 6 months, Towe 80 miles drop off unit, rent a room until we were notified inspection done. Dealer quoted 3 weeks, it was a north Dallas Redwood dealer.
I still have 2 months till I need inspection, can't even use any RVIA REPAIR, EXCEPT REDWOOD DEALER. NO COMMENT!!!!!!!

I feel really stupid, but I am still trying to find how to start a new thread. Instructions again please! I've been on many forums and never had such a problem! I can send privet messages and start a new thread but not the whole forum messages. Thanks for your help!

in the manual they gave me, the inspection form was like page 3 or 4

and RiffRaff - call ExploreUSA in Fort Worth...
they were very accommodating for me (this time!)

he said I didn't even need to unhook.

Sometimes when I read of the issues people are having with the warranty it really makes me wonder and now they've gone form 2 and 5 to just 2? We had to get an extended warranty through All State from Tiaria RV because our RW was used 5 months before we bought it. It's a good thing we got that warranty since the equalizer broke while we were in Maine. What we did not realize was at the same time the spring on one side flattened. Don't ask me why guess you can chalk it up to being newbees we did not notice until we thought the tires were tracking wrong. Anyway All State is covering again! By the way on their extended warranty there is only a 50.00 deductible instead of 200 like Good Sam has on their policy.

I'm not clear - you say you can and can't start a new thread. Anyway, assuming you are having a hard time with starting a new thread, get to the forum "Home" page, click on the forum you want (like "general rv questions") and then on the next page there should be a "new thread button" in the top left. Hope that helps.

P.s. I think there is a forum in the list on the home page where you can ask technical questions of the site's hosts.

I'm confused about your extended warranty, is it State Farm or Allstate. If State Farm I would like more info, if Allstate not interested.

Warranty annual inspection

OK, having my 1st warranty inspection done and handed my dealer the redwood book to be completed and signed off on. They are telling me that there is another form that requires completion and filing with redwood. I understand this, but why wouldn't the dealer have this form. Doesn't matter whether we complete have it signed off on by dealer or if the dealer completes. Is anyone familiar with this "form" that they are requesting? If so, where can I obtain a copy?

Is he a Redwood Dealer?

Mine signed the book, and filled out another form that he sent to Redwood.

My 201515 warranty doesn't read anything about the 5 year part of the warranty others talk about here. It only states 2 year warranty.

Last I heard they were continuing the 2/5 year warranty. The 5 year is for the frame.
