They might have. the outside was very dirty.

We are very happy with the inside repairs Sierra RV in Reno did. from replacing the entry door threshold with frame, replaced many mouldings, wood step, cabinet doors, maxx fan, missing micro turn plate.found and installed a higher profile ceiling fan, that won't hit the slider when it's broughtin.

They had to take apart the bathroom wall as it was out of plumb and reinstall it, that's why the bedroom door wasrubbing the wall with the slide in. they installed very positive latches on the backwall of the pantry for each drawer, so they will not slide open and open the pantry door into the kitchen isle, when traveling.they took care of many other items also. Now Brian has to have the paint and body issues taken care of. that will take a few more weeks, once we get it in the paint and body shop.

Lillyputz....you must have the patience of a saint. I'm a pretty understanding guy.... but if my rig sits for 55 days during camping season....there's going to be hell to pay.

Update #4 to this issue.

We left the Palm Springs area July 4th and took our time driving up to Bend, OR where we are now at Crown Villa RV Park. The drive up was mostly in temps of 95º to 101º. We ran the fridge on propane while on the road and it went out once or twice a day due to overheating (E3 error on the Dometic fridge). We were shown how to reset the fridge (a small hidden button accessed outside) and we made it work.

We also tried driving with the fridge off but the inside temp went up from 38º to 45º in just two hours. In a call to Dometic they told me the fridge would loose 4º to 5º every two hours while off (surprising) so running without propane for 4 to 6 hours in warm temps is not possible.

After arriving in Bend I had three different techs that I trust from separate RV service facilities look at the unit. Their opinion is that the space was designed for a different fridge and that there are clear safety issues due to overheating when running on propane. There is also no access to clean or inspect the propane burner on a regular basis without removing the fridge inside the trailer! The Dometic manual states that you "should inspect and possibly clean the propane burner before each use (after any storage).

I emailed Brian at Redwood a couple of days ago requesting a new fridge that was designed to fit the space and with outside access to the propane burner. Waiting for a reply.

PS: I agree with the post in this thread that reasons that my space was designed for a Norcold unit instead of the Dometic. I was told by Brian that there are 300 units out there like mine.

More to follow....

I know this is an old thread but wondered if you could update me on your fridge problem. I have been having problems with my Dometic in our 2012 RL
