We purchased our 2013 RL on Sept. 9 in Wyoming. We were assured that the big single 30,000 BTU A/C would keep us cool. We are now in South Texas and it is not cool in here! Inside temp is one degree less than outside temp. Just wondering if anyone else has this unit and what your temps are?

I didn't know they had a single 30,000 btu a/c. Mine has two 15,000 btu units.

I think your Saleman sold you a bill of empty goods. 15K single AC, 30K total with two 15K ACs. If you select the 30K option on the build sheet you should get two 15K AC, check you build sheet/order sheet, if you paid for the 30K option and only have one AC, Go back to the sell dealer and demand them to install the second AC.
We've been to a few Samborees this past summer with marginal 30 amp service, so we could only run 1 AC and it would be warm inside, but with an outside temp of 90 we could still hold lower 80s inside. With same temps and 50 amp service with both ACs runn we could cool it down to 70 inside with no problem.

I asked repeatedly" why only one a/c?" Was told it's the big one 30,000 btu, thats all you need. I have the build sheet that states 30,000 btu a/c with heat pump. Traded a Montana with two that workedvery well so if this is as good as this one gets I won't be too happy. Guess I need to get it checked for proper operation before I go too much further. Thanks for the replies.

How many AC units on top? If only 1, then you have been mislead. If there is 2, you have 30K BTU (15 each). I have 2 with 1 heat pump and so far it is working great here in Central Texas.

John & Kay, Lazy Days here in FL is having a mini Rally next door to the BIG Good Sam Rally. We went over today and mentioned your situation to the Eastern Rep for Redwood, he agreed there is no 30000 BTU single AC, it's the two 15000 BTU ACs that give you a total of 30000. So you need to get back with your selling Stealer and get things straightened out. As you know from the Montana it take 2 ACs to keep them cool and our RL is quite a bit bigger than our Montana that we had two ACs on. Just running one AC as on marginal 30 Amp power we could keep ours in the low to mid 80s with outside temps in the low 90s, but on good power with both running we have no problem keeping it in the low 70s with outside temps in the 90s.

I agree we were misled, can't say if it was intentional or not. I will call the dealer tomorrow and see where it goes. Don't have much hope of a good outcome 'specially if it was intentional and we are inthe RGVand he's in Wyoming.Talked to Redwood today and was informed it is a 15K. Trying to "keep my cool" in the meantime.

I have the one of the few Hobby Haulers. 2 Air conditioning units with a fireplace. Did not get the heat pump because according to my sales guy adding the heat pump lessons the amount of air conditioning. I live in Texas. 110 outside means 80 inside camper with no heat pump...

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with the dealer and he is stepping up to the plate and will have second a/c installed at his expense. Is making arrangements with the factory to do a/c and and fix other problems when we leave the valley in March. WoW! Didn't believe it would happen but he admitted it was their mistake and will take care of it. I'm a happy man! By the way salesman is no longer with them.
