New to the Redwood family.....

HI,

We are Tom and Gina from North TX and the happy owners of a new to us 2014 38GK taking possession next week. We had our last rig Monty 3400RL for 10 years and lived through about anything one could think of in having to repair while living in it around 5 of the 10 years. My tow vehicle is a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab, 8 ft box, 2x4, dually, auto, 373 gears. I have had this truck for many years and have rebuilt the truck from the ground up 2 times now. With the weights of this rig is there anyone out there that is using this configuration and can give me any suggestions short of getting a 4500? The weight of this thing is substantially more than our old unit so any ideas or thoughts will be considered. After looking at Class A's for over 2 years and just not being able to justify the extra cost of one, decided to stay with the 5th wheel. One of the things that got me on this unit was the hitch on the rear which I would like to haul my full dresser motorcycle. So I will be using the forum to pick brains of this place to get the best idea to go with in that area. Thanks everyone for your contributions to this forum and let the fun begin!!
