I had enough of this snow this year. Wheres that dang woodchuck!! I think I have a boot that should get introduced to his rear end! Lien varmint!!

We think our winter is bad, 60" of snow - couldn't survive. Come out to the Wet Coast, no snow but lots of rain. Got to sharpen the lawn mower blade this weekend and the Mustang comes out of hibernation next week. Just wish we got more sunshine to get the top down.

After living in the Chicago and Milwaukee area for 40+ years I know all about the "snow" factor. That is the reason we retired to sunny Oro Valley (Tucson), AZ. Any time you guys are in the area let me know and we will try to meet!!

One nice thing about the snow, you can always find a campsite!

Brad
Wow,if we had that much snow out here the entire Greater Vancouver road system would turn into gridlock. Lots of campsites available just couldn't get to them.

I reserved that campsite for Mothers Day here in town and thought I would go take a look to make sure there is clearance for the awnings, etc. The snow covering the campsite pad kind of dampened my spirit a little. Maybe the RV show tomorrow will help.

I'm glad to hear that this year will be better for you and I hope to meet you someday around the camp fire. The "Big C" came knocking on our door as well.

Most of the people we met in the Louisiana State Parks so for are full-timers. Retired like me. I'm waiting on my wife to retire in October this year. We have 5 state parks just in the Baton Rouge area alone. A lot of people snowbird, you can only stay for 15 days in each park, so they rotate around them for the winter. 18.00 a day, 9 dollars a day for America the Beautiful pass. You can't beat that with water and electricity included.

I have been living in a trailer for the last 10 years for work. We have our stick and bricks but only see them every couple of weeks. It is funny that in the last year or so I would rather be down in the trailer than the 4000 Sq ft house. I have camped my whole life and there is just something about it that pulls me to it. It probably helps living in CA where you can be outside every day but it just feels different than in a residential neighborhood. If and when I finally retire we plan on travelling and enjoying the adventure until we are worn out and need a resting spot. It is great listen to the stories of all of you that have worked hard all your life to be able to live your dreams
Safe travel to all of you

I am seriously out of it. What is "Big C"? Perhaps I should be worrying that "Big C" will be calling? Thank you.

We talk about just selling everything and going to Myrtle SC...now were thinking on a six year plan. Not being retirement age for awhile Steve's 48 and self employed I carry the insurance we'd have to go on Obama care and find jobs all over again. Unless of course we hit the lottery. And then there's the grandkids

Debbie and I have been full-timing in our 36FL for almost 2 years. We couldn't be happier! We found out, after 25 years in the Air Force, that we couldn't plant "roots" and stay in one place. We sold our home, gave our children most of their inheritance early, and we hit the road. All of our children live in the Dallas, TX area, and we have wintered here. Debbie made it clear when we began this adventure, that we were to be with children and grandchildren for the holidays. We love the lifestyle and the ability to see family and friends throughout this great country! It may not be for everyone, but we plan on doing this as long as we are able. Were are excited on being able to attend the RW Rally this year, and look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

We have been full-timing since late 2005. My wife has come to realize that I am a Gypsie at heart. Our kids and grandkids are scattered to the winds from Kansas and we ended here in Texas to call home/RV base. I still work and Jere does the volunteer work program for the Corps of Engineers. We have been at Airport Park, Lake Waco for 5 years now. It is awesome here, but my travelling blood is itching to travel again. We have a three week trip planned in August - maybe that will curb my itch for a while.
