Change is coming, and so is our Redwood!

Dreams do come true…especially if you plan them.

Together eleven years now, my best friend, who is my husband and I, have enjoyed the beautiful outdoors and our favorite hobby together…camping. Seven years ago we bought a 33 foot travel trailer (TT), which I named FREEDOM and it’s been a ridiculously joyful ride ever since. We love the idea of moving our “vacation home on wheels” anywhere we desire and never get bored of our surroundings, whether it’s lakefront property or the breathtaking sights of the Rocky Mountains. Every single chance there is we bolt out of our home, away from the traffic, the crowds, and the noise and head for the hills.

After many long conversations, making a wish list…thinking of different ways to enjoy our upcoming retirement we came to a conclusion and now we are making it real…….

Don’t get me wrong….I love my TT, it has brought us so much joy and relaxation over the years that it is going to be hard to part with; but after carefully thinking out our future plans, we came to the realization that Freedom would not have the stamina for full-timing, the BIG TRIP of our lives…so three years ago we started to research the perfect RIG that would meet our needs and this is how it started to unfold…….

Prior to this incredible journey I’m on, and talk about putting all your eggs in one basket, I owned a house before I met my husband. After 11 years I finally decided it was time to sell my little house and it was hard…it’s one of those possessions that you just have a hard time parting with. However, opportunity knocked and it was bittersweet, I took advantage of the hot real-estate market and sold my little gem of a house…which is now giving us the opportunity to fulfill our dream….a luxurious 5th wheel…”The Redwood.”

Yep, we are beyond excited…every time the phone rings these last few week after we placed our order on June 20, 2014, we jump hoping it’s our dealership calling letting us know that our new “BIG TOY” is here and ready for us to pick up…so you can imagine how overly, pins and needles, excited we are…..can’t wait to explore this beautiful country from shore to shore, and take photos of every National Park and as many state parks that we can fit in during our travels. We plan to full-time at a minimum of two years and whatever holds for us beyond that…who knows what else will be in store for us.

I can hardly wait, to breath in the air of our surroundings, wherever that may be, see all the beauty that GOD has created…and having my lover, my best friend, my husband beside me sharing this incredible journey of life for BIG RED… the REDWOOD…OOPS, I was told I couldn’t name it until we had it for three days…but I cannot help myself…it’s simply a dream come true!!

AND the adventure continues………

We inquired because of this forum, it was not on the option list, but they said it was no trouble. Pretty cheap too.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on selecting a RW. What floorplan did you order?

We may even have seen it at the factory yesterday during the Rally tour.

Victor&Yvonne,

Welcome to the Redwood family!!!

Ordering your coach is so exciting...getting to choose everything you want, to build the perfect RV for you. Now the hard part, waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I know the feeling, many others here know the feeling, it seems like the delivery will never happen...but it will and the wait will be over!!

We hope your Redwood is all you hoped for and look forward to meeting up 0nTheRoad...

Congratulations! You will love it. We have the 36RL and hope to full time once we sell our house. We are looking forward to the freedom not having to worry about a house will provide. We've only hD our RW since May, but have enjoyed it as much as we thought we would. I hope you get that call soon to come and pick up your RW!
