Thought that since there seems to be a bunch of us with new units on order, maybe we should have a thread where we post order dates and expected delivery date and updated when you actually get it.

I'll start it off:

Ordered a 36RL on Feb 16th, still waiting on a unit number and any kind of tentative delivery date
ordered fairly loaded, full body paint (Black/Maroon) 4 door fridge, dual air, king bed, fireplace, 2 maxx air fans, slide toppers on all slides, dual awnings, Tri-Glide King pin box, G614 tires, disc brakes, combo washer/dryer, Windgard SK3005 SlimLine Auto Dish, Convection/Micro, Cook top with 3 drawers, ceiling fan, water filter, on-board genny, dual pane windows, plus changing from the std table to the free standing table used on the FL model.

Well it is here!! We got lucky the rain stopped when I got
in the truck to go to the dealer to pick red up and didn’t start back until the
way home.
<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />mhs4771You may want to check on your second awning, I ordered that
on mine also and was told when it came in I could not get it if I had the slide
topers on because with the toper their was no room for it.

I ordered a 36fl on 2-11-12 they told me yesterday it should be off the line around the 30th of march and go to paint and be here around the 15th of April. We ordered 4 door fridge with ice maker, pre wire for 3 fantastic fans, stove top with 3 drawers, micro convection combo, deleted the rear door, added a window in the chair slide in living room, full body paint maroon/black, G614's, disc brakes, trailair air ride pin box, when it gets to my shop I will add trailair center point suspension have the red paint changed to match my truck add heat pads to the tanks ,add exterior tank monitoring system and fantastic fans. man I can't wait to tour the plant and pick up our new home!

Lilly if you have only the cook top with the drawers in place of the oven and no convection oven will not be able to bake or roast any thing that means no cookies, roasts, pizza, garic bread dang it now I'm hungry.

I read where some of you say you are going to have a second awning. Where does it go? My dealer didn't tell me about this option.

I think you need somewhere to put things that require a oven or browning. My wife and I still use the oven when we cook maybe we should take cooking classes.

On the RL the second awning goes on the chair/dinnete slide out.
I wonder if they've changed some mounting of awnings and slide toppers. I've had several phone conversations with Redwood Customer Service and many, many e-mails and never any mention of interference between awning and slide topper. I've seen both a some of the MH here in the park, so it can be done. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

We have the convection/micro in our Montana and use it all the time. It vents the hot air outside so you can bake/cook without running the AC when the outside temps are on the warm side. We use our present oven as storage space, so we went with the cook top and 3 drawers on the Redwood.

We will have the regular three burner with the oven. just the standard microwave. on the 36re, the2nd power awning is on the door side slide. I was told, from the factory that you can't have both the awning and the topper. becausethe topper and awning mount in the same location. also they don't make a topper for the small slide in a slide. would look funny with only one topper on the slide in a slide.

Am I missing something? I've never seen a 5er with 2 awnings...what are the advantages? Isn't the main awning big enough?

The Redwoods are pre-wired for a second awning with the switch already in the control panel area (at least on the RL). Gives you more covered patio area and provides shade to the LR area. Our site exposes the curb side to the mid to late afternoon sun, so with 2 awnings protecting that side will keep the interior a little cooler without running the AC (we pay our electric)

You can never have enough shade! I put a small awning on one of my slides and found that it was very hard on the slide. I used it to park my Harley under it so the bike wouldn't take space from the main awning. In light breezes it tended to shift the slide around some, that rattled the wife a bit as that slide was the dinette slide.

I just rcv'd an e-mail drawing of the RL floor plan, asking me to sign-off on the locations I wanted the 4 coaxs from the roof to terminate, plus we've been assigned a VIN number, so I guess that puts us one step closer.
