Yes it is. We've been going back and forth with the dealer and factory and were getting worried we wouldn't get the coaxes installed for the dish. So I guess we can breath a little easier now.

Nobody has asked me where I want my coaxes and if they did I wouldn't know how to answer them. I have a dish at my house but never had one around the camper. So can someone let me know what to ask for?

I, myself use a portable, self leveling unit. most of the time we are in the tree's. roof mount would be nice, but you can't watch tv going down the road and you have to camp out in the open to get a signal.

More and more CGs have Satellite Friendly sites, just because more and more people are traveling with a satellite dish. We sometimes travel with an old single LNB dish for those times when we're in trees, but then sometimes that doesn't work either. We spend the winter in one spot here in Florida so trees aren't a problem and we like the convenience of just pushing a button and letting the dish do it's thing. So you really have to give some thought about your camping style to know which is best for you.

I like the "cube" that can be set on the ground or mounted to the ladder. Does anybody know more about these? Do they work as advertised? It's my understanding that you can switch them from the ladder to the ground easily, is that true?

If you're after HD for DirecTV it won't do the trick as the big dish as we have is the only HD for DirecTV. Some of the smaller carryout units will provide HD for Dish Network if you have the correct receiver. One important note: If putting it on the ground, make sure it's attached to something that won't move as they have been known to sprout legs and walk off.

Thanks for the information...What kind of unit do you have? From what someone else posted today I guess the 2 TV's don't work indepenantly? That's disapointing

If they don't it is an easy remedy and for the dish I am to cheap to have one. No really we are so busy with work and park stuff there is not enough time to watch TV. We used to have a dish but our spot at the park has trees in all wrong place to receive any signal so we just watch free air TV and spend a lot of time outside by the fire.

Well I guess we're the same way. We watch TV at home but when we're in our camper we usually don't watch too much TV. But now with the new 5er we're going to be spending more time in it and I think we'll be needing some way of watching tv

In the old days I used an old dish off of a rental house mounted to a 2x2 piece of plywood so that way it was portable and I could move it where I needed to to get signal. I have had dish and direct I found that dish was easier to tune in and had less issues with weather. Direct was OK but for my spot dish is better.

Is it also offered with drum brakes? Since the initial post lists disc brakes as an option, I guess the truck does most of the braking but maybe it takes some load off it!

Welcome Dan to our little family of "Woodys" ha ha and congrats on your purchase. What color did you order? You'll find that we're a friendly bunch although not very structured when it comes to a forum. But this is the best forum I've ever seen and maybe it's because we're not too structured.....not really sure. But anyway I welcome you and hope you have a since of humor

Thanks I have been mulling thispurchaseover for almost a year now. Will be retiring next year and will make this a "shake down" year to the RL. I went with the Black Maroon pretty close to the full load even the slide in a slide. I have been watching this form for a long time, lots of good info provided from what I would say GOOD people and that is what makes this anexcellentform, even though it is all over the place.. Fun some times to go back and find where acomment was placed

My order for my 34SK just went in yesterday. Loaded but didn't get the SnS, Black&Tan paint combo, looks like the same time frame for delivery Dan, the race is on. I'm calling Wesdorp tomorrow and offering him a c note to make sure mine is in front of yours.

Welcome to the Redwood waiting list the closer it gets to the delivery date the more you won't be able to sleep, I'm sure Dave and I as well as other s can testify.
