The "L" shaped kitchen was in the original '11 models, though I thought it was only in the RL? and the RE had the Island kitchen? At least, the original demo ones we saw here were like that, but they were all Islands by the 2012 models, I thought

After looking at the web pictures of this unit, it is the same floorplan that we saw at the dealers here last summer. It was the initial floorplan that the dealers got when they first started producing them, so it must have been built in early 2011, as it wasn't too long before they no longer produced the L shaped kitchen. Those models sold for a much lower price, (their msrp here was between $70 and $80k, depending on the options. There was one that had no options at all, it was listed at $69,900.) So for that model, with the gelcoat, the used price is probably about right.

I seen a 2011 that went for less than $52,000.00 CDN

Yeah, I think quite a few of the first ones probably sold for around that price in Canada. Speaking of Canada, I just found out that there are as many RVs in Alberta as there are in the rest of Canada! Guess thats why we have 7 Redwood dealer locations in Alberta!
