Ok so we are building out a redwood and have a question. We are looking into keeping our floor plan but add to it. One of those would be the slide in a slide option. The only question I have about that is weight since counter balance would be off since more weight is added to that side when you include you washer and dryer to the mix of it as well. Am I over thinking this or could this become an issue later. Such as more down force on those 2 hydraulic feet on that side which would or could wear out seals faster in time. Any input on this or suggestions would help us out to make sure we are doing the build sheet right

I did not get the slide in slide at the time because I was concerned with weight on my SRW. The SRW didn't last beyond the trip home and was replaced with a DRW, so I kick myself once a week to remind myself that I could have had the slide in a slide
You might be overthinking it. If it's cool and you like it, get it.

Good to know right now we have it narrowed down to 2 choices 38br and 38gk. Waiting to see what a price difference would be between the 2

We don't have the slide in a slide and wouldn't think twice about getting it if we were ordering again. Even with my SRW the small weight penalty is worth the extra floor space in the bedroom.

We have the slide-in-slide and love it. It sure gives you more room at the foot of the bed. My wife and I can pass each othe while we're dressing instead of taking turns walking past each other.
Slide in slide was the second most important thing when we decided to go for a Redwood. We are Full timers and to double the space to be used in the bedroom is an invention Redwood should have the Nobel Prize for. I would have made two side windows as well since you shoot out far and have a nice view. More private as well since you can not see the living room/kitchen when you sit in bed and read.
We have a 38GK with a slide in slide. This was one of several selling points for us. We also liked the washer/dryer in the hall (not in a slide) and the double pantries.
DLRAKOWITZ,these rigs are designed and built to accommodate the weight of the W/D so I wouldn't be too concerned. If they had built the GK with a king bed option when we bought our FB we would have opted for the GK.
On the flip side, we never had to worry about the drain hose for the washer on our FB, it's on the other side of the coach, we have no water or drain in our slide.
Yes, the slide in slide would have helped our 38gk, but they didn't offer it with the king bed at the time we ordered,
so we make do with the king bed filling up the room !
(I really don't mind squeezing past the wife,
in fact, I go out of my way to do that )
