The later ideas I think too are great. I would not have glass cut as it would not be tempered safety glass. Be sharp pieces if it breaks.

I ordered mine today.. had a good conversation with the owner ( Kyle) .. he told me how they are made. If they look half as good as they sound its a winner ! . Now I wait!

How has your storm door covers worked for the folks that ordered them thru RV Door Buddy? Would love to hear the positives/negatives.
Thanks,
Jack

Hey Stranger!! I'm sure you and your family are ready for your glamping season to begin!! I saw that you ordered your panels from RV Door Buddy! I was wondering, do you think your door measures the same as ours?? We have a 2016 36RL. Wishing you a great season!!

Hello right back at you ! I would not assume that they are the same size.. I am actually working on my door buddy right now.. I went off measurements from the dealer and it came in 1/2" short on both the width and height... SO ,I made it work for last season , and trying to get it resolved without ordering a new one for this season... We may get out in 2 weeks for a few days weather permitting . . How about you folks? nice weather over on your coast ?

Our rig has been in service for warranty issues...the service department at our dealer ship is a nightmare!! We HOPE to head to Tucson this weekend. The weather in AZ has been amazing. Which often means a crazy hot summer.
Hope you enjoy getting back their!! Thanks for all of your continued support!!

When we had the 38gk, I just had lowes's cut the lexan when I bought it...
told them exactly how tall I wanted it and left it a bit wide...

a little short top to bottom allowed it to slip in,
and a little wide left to right held it in place.
then I just pushed one side in, curved it enough to slip in the other side...

the side cuts are not that critical if they are not perfectly smooth because they are hidden inside the channel.
worked well

Looks great! Does it slap the screen a little when you close the door?

Not at all Brad, they are as snug as a bug in a rug.... They came with small grey clips and plain screws... I opted to buy the clear clips, and purchased the black anodized screws from the local Ace Hardware...

I did have to push 1/8" thick felt strips along the top, there was a small bit of light shining in...

You will be happy.... And Kyle is a one man band, we is sometimes hard to reach , but does nice work...

Word of advise... When measuring if your diagonal measurment in 42-1/4"... Drop it down to 42-3/16"... I trimmed the 2 rounded corners just a hair , as it was real tight fitting, and that was causing the piece to bellow out...

That looks great!!! Thanks for posting and another one on my list. We almost have never just left the door open for air. Always need AC or a little heat were we go so this is a great option to let the light in.

Mine came in the mail the other day and going to install them today. Questions:
1. My diagonal measurement I sent was 42 1/4". Where is the best location on it to file? What is the best way to remove and then reinstall the lining that surrounds the Lexan?
2. It looks like you also installed the smaller middle piece as well (I did too). What were the measurements?

Thanks so much!
Jack

Steve , it may be hard to add to yours depending on where you mounted those decorative pieces..
