Congratulations on your new RW! I do not like them making changes on the fly and if the weight is that much heavier I am not sure that's a good thing. I would want to know where the extra weight came from. Can't imagine a scale being off that much unless it's totally broke. best of luck to you with your new baby!

Well this unit contains the Residential Appliance package, induction cook top, generator, 40 Lb Propane tanks, the dual ACs with heat pump on each, king bed, stacked washer & dryer, the dual awnings, the heavier suspension (aka Mor/ryde IS) with 17.5 GY G114 H rated tires, and not sure, but the cupboards in the Butler's Pantry probably weigh more than the std half bath.
I did expect it to be heavy, just not quite that much.

All that stuff explains a lot about the weight.

No, they only put the GVW at 17.9 don't know why they don't at least round it up to an even 18K

M&A, if they didn't rate it high enough (lower of axle or tire rating), ask for it to be corrected. They did for mine after the Engineers recalculated it. I am limited by the G614s to 17500

I know, you would think a std RW with 7K axles and G rated tires has a 16.5 GWR, so you would think that with 8K axles and H rated tires it should be 18.5K.
I'm not overly worried since our RL made last summers 17K trip to Alaska and back without any problems, just hope this MB is as good.

Wow Michelle. Sounds like you got every option! Did you pass on any?

Still can't understand why they pre-wire for a specific Sat dish (Winegard) but they won't add it to the option list. When I ordered, I would have paid list price, but instead ended up installing my own. It would be a popular, profitable option and they wouldn't have to re-engineer with things like Westlake tires to save those few dollars.

That was kind of strange I thought as well. They will install a generator or prep for it, they will install a washer and dryer or prep for it, but they will not install that antenna

Did Redwood install the MorRyde IS on your coach?

Was the MOR/ryde IS and the 17.5 GY G114 H tires an option from Redwood or were they added after the purchase by you. Thanks

I was thinking the same thing! That would be a no brainier for me if they offered that option. I would definitely go Mor/Ride after what we experienced. With that much weight they may have had to go that direction.

OK, I was sworn to not post anything about it, but since it's done and the Cat is Out of the Bag here goes the story.
The 17.5 wheels and GY 114s are an option from RW that we ordered. The IS was a trial run for RW. They sent our unit to Mor/ryde prior to going to paint, but the deal I worked out with RW was that I would pay Mor/ryde directly for the IS, which I had offered to do just to get the IS. As it turned out it was a good think because when RW entered our order into their system they dropped the Disc Brakes. So I get this call from Mor/ryde asking "Didn't I say we had Disc coming from the Factory". So there were a few frantic phone calls, but ended up having Mor/ryde do the Disc and got credit on our Sales Order with Lazydays.
So I don't know if RW well make it an option, but if they don't they'll lose customers to those that do offer it as an option.

Thanks for the info mhs4771. I installed the MOR/ryde IS and Pin box on my Grand Junction 5th wheel. When I purchased the Redwood it came with the trail air suspension and pin box and on the way home (400 Miles) I diverted and went straight to Elkhart (1100 Miles) and had the MOR/ryde IS and pin box installed. I am planning on purchasing the RW39MB in the near future and it sure would be nice if it could be handled by Redwood. I'll give it try when I order mine. Thanks again.
