Thanks Lillyputz
The unit is at Lardner RV Trailer Sales in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (http://www.lardners.com/new-rv-inventory.html) and it is the 36RL.

Apparently, according to Tony (Mr Redwood) the dishwasher is an available option in all the 2012 units? That's great!
Looks like my memory failed me, it wasn't Tony that said that, it was DoddsCP. I apologize to both Mr Redwood and DoddsCP for my mistake! But very happy to know a dishwasher is available!

We have been living full time in our 36re for about three weeks. Black tank leak, surround system (RCA) is a peice of junk. Other small fit and finish things like nail holes filled with globs of putty, smeared over the already finished wood. Black tank sensors not working over 1/3 of a tank.

Redwood has been stellar at getting these things repaired. The tank didn't leak until it shifted and the fitting slid out. They shipped us a replacement surround system and had someone out to repair the leak, within a couple days! I can say, it is well built for the money. You would have to go to something like a hitch hiker to get better build quality. We are quite satisfied with the Company!

Did you not get a typical "Build Sheet" from a dealer? This would be
available either in hard copy (paper) or email (PDF) that would list all
the available options and MSRP. I have an Excel spreadsheet that lists
all the options and allows you to pick and choose which will give you a
final MSRP price for your choices. I can send you a link to download
if you wish.

You mentioned $100k+ ... that would be MSRP which is one heck of a lot
more than you should pay for the RV. We have a fully loaded (except
custom paint/slide toppers/slide-in-slide bedroom) 36RL on order. MSRP
on our RV was about $116k but our price was about $77k.

We have a 36FB and have been living in the 5vr for a year now and have very minor problems IE inside trim GF plug and reset button on hot water heater. All the problems were corrected by the deal the day We took it in for repair but as I mentioned we live in the 5vr and sch. repairs and the dealer is aware of this and they try to get us in and out the same day and have done an exceptional job. We have traveled 10,000 miles with the trailer and are very pleased with our purchase and the service the dealer has given after the sale. They even have a signed posted they work on all models but there customers who buy from them and1st on the repair list. We did not get the fancy paint or order our unit, bought it straight off the dealer after looking at 40 different unit in short very happy with our purchase

RigRunner,
You probably hold the record for the mosttraveled Redwood so far.
If you bought off the lot, that means you have the Goodyear Marathons on your unit. Would be interested to hear of your tire experiences (if any).

So far having good luck with the tire but out of habit I check pressure before moving and monitor tire temp while in route. Tires are wearing evenly and before our next trip was planing on rotating tires, butWe don't get in a hurry whenwe travel usually stop every couple of hours and check tires connection and so forth

I've heard a lot of complaints about the Marathon tires but our old trailer had Marathons and we didn't have any problems. The trailer still had the original tires on it after 8 years and I towed it ALL over the country. I pulled that trailer South to Texas, Mississippi and Florida and North to Minnesota and Upper Michigan. I wish I had an odometer on that trailer because it would be interesting to see how many miles I put on it.

But....I always watched and checked the tires, before and during the trip. I made sure they had maximum air pressure for the load.

Hey Dave, not trying to disagree with you, but are you sure those old tires were Goodyear Marathons?? I didn't know they had been produced for that long. I thought the tire of choice from Goodyearfor RVs was the Missions, which I understand had their problems and that Goodyear came out with the Marathons a few years ago to replace the Missions. The Marathons are a good light weight trailer tire for utility trailers, smaller TT or ultra-lite 5ers, but from all the posts on any of the RV forums I wasn't about to have them on our new 36RL, I had changed them off our previous Montana after only a few thousand miles as I just didn't want to risk body damage to the Montana. It's really odd, some seems to do fine with the Marathons with thousands of trouble free mileand others have had blow-outs on their way home from the Dealer or within a few hundred miles of use, go figure.

Weren't they made in US until 1.5 years ago, thensub'd to China for manufacturing? Even now, I've heard that dealers can have a mix of both US and Chinese made arriving in their orders. Many people check for origin before replacing. Not sure what Redwood is installing. Anyone know what came from the factory?Edited by: 5th_Time

New truck.. one ton diesel with a 4.** gear ratio and exhaust brake.
The pin weight on a 36FL will be in the 2500 - 3000 pound range and the weight of the loaded trailer will be in the 15k neighborhood. A 3/4 ton just doesn't have the capacity for a trailer this size.
A lot of people will tell you that "you can pull it" but there is more that goes into safely towing a travel trailer from point A to point B than just having the ability to move it. You have be able to control it under less than ideal or emergency circumstances.
As far a hitch.. get one that matches your tow vehicles heaviest rating. If your truck is rated at a max 25K, get a 25K hitch.
Just my 2c

I've been married a long time so I've been wrong a lot But I sure thought they were Marathons. They said Goodyear, round and black...but they did hold air and they didn't go BOOM while going down the road so maybe they weren't

I wonder if the can install a window in a 36FL that didn't have one when it was built. If so, I may drop by the factory on my way though Illinois this autumn.
It looks like the light switch is mounted lower on the 36FLs with the window so that may be an issue.
