There is no "awe" in suspension or quality at the RV show

Thats why there is more emphasis on TV's, LED lighting and such...it's all about the WOW factor, the bling!!!

Unfortunately the frame and suspension don't make people excited,,,unless they know what to look for...and there are few who look under the hood.

That's why you would rarely if ever see an inventory Redwood with disk brakes or G614 tires. It just drove the price up and nobody noticed when shopping unless they really did their homework.

I have to say I have now joined the ranks of those that say after having a coach with the MorRyde IS, it would be a deal breaker not to have it on the next one.

I'm thinking RW is making a huge mistake not offering it especially since DRV and now Heartland do.

I agree with you Vaughn and Tracy! They must think we pull these RW's a few miles on good roads. I challenge them to take one and pull it for 10,000 miles and then decide what's important! I would think the number of times they are called about the suspension breakdowns would be enough to warrant a change!

I guess we've strayed a bit from the Thread Title, but since we're here, I was just looking at the Lifestyles LS39FB (very similar to the RW39MB). Dual 2x6 channel welded together to make a 2x12 Frame and they do offer the Mor/ryde IS and browsing the Net their price does look much different that a RW by the time you added the IS.
Tampa Show could be very interesting!

I don't know......I'm starting to think a custom made 5er like from "continental Coach" might be the only way to get everything the way that I want them.

I can't put my finger on it but the Lifestyle RV haven't really done much for me.

Dave your unit awaits you. I wonder what one of these babies cost? You would definitely need to replace your truck as well!

My wife and I watched the video together and she likes what she sees. This might be in our plans within a few years.

Dave,

That certainly is a beauty, but, you could probably buy 4 Redwoods for the price of that coach and a heavy duty truck to pull it!!

Well...you're right but I'm not comparing it to a Redwood, I'm comparing it to a new class A like an Entegra. From what I can gather, these units go for around $225-250,000. The quality might be worth it because to get that kind of custom work in a class "A" would be over a million. The new F450 will pull it which will add another $75K. so for around $300-325K I'd have a custom built high end unit.

New Horizons also does custom building so they would have to be considered too but I've never seen a New Horizon as impressive as this.

Not bad but....I'd want one custom built with the in-floor heat and all the luxury of home.

The video stated that it had a 22 inch main frame. What is the weight of that monster?

I checked out the cost and 250,000. Is the sticker on a lot of them, but you can get some for 188,000.😞 not a good investment in my opinion.....I'd buy a house or condo first, but I know some people have money they don't mind loosing.

John you're right but no RV is a good investment because they greatly depreciate the minute they are bought. RVs aren't about investment, they're about freedom and luxury.

Point me to the RV that WAS a good investment?

I'm just not clear on how you compare a toy to real property and then determine which is a good investment? They just aren't the same thing.

There are houses, buildings condos, townhouses, and when you make a lot of money on those, there are RVs, airplanes and boats to spend it on

I watched that video with fascination on how it is put together, and it is very nice, but I also couldn't help noticing that it still has Kinro windows, Carefree awnings, cable slide system, etc just like us po people
