No desk in 39FL

My sales rep called me today to inform me that the 39 FL does not have a hidden pull out desk of any kind. Every other model comes with this so I was disappointed to learn of this. With all of the other options available on this model and no real reason not to include it it seems strange not to have that as a standard option. All other models have it located between the fire place and tv. This makes no sense.

Basically, there just isn't any room to install it on the 39FL. If you look at the floor plans the front area entertainment system is shallower than the rest, and the area is curved.

We have a 36FL, it has a desk but no safe, I think I would opt for the safe over the desk. Just my 2 cents.

I spend a lot of time on my Mac laptop connected to a large Thunderbolt Display so I have to have some type of desk to work on. I'll just put the portable one I work with now in the unit when it arrives and probably just leave it tucked up against the two recliners in the living room when I'm not using it.

I know everyone has their own preferences, but I end up working at the kitchen table, and I even have the desk.

On ours the kitchen table rotates against the wall and the leaves come out each side and it makes a great work surface with the view out the window.

just connect your laptop to the tv. wireless keyboard, wireless mouse. Nothing beats a 48" computer screen!

We have the desk in our 36FL but I sit at the table with my lap top or ipad and Steve sits outside with the laptop.Pulling a chair up to the desk when you already have 2 chairs and a couch and a dog bed in the living room gets crowded. I thought I would use it,maybe if we were full time I would.

We wouldn't miss the desk as a desk, but would miss the computer/electronic storage aspect of it. Generally use an IPad or laptop as such, on our lap.
