Factory Tour

Went on a factory tour last week. Wow! It's actually pretty amazing that these things are able to travel and do the things they do with all the details and stuff that goes into them. It was, to say the least, an eye opener. They currently build 6 per day and are building the Redwoods, Rushmores and the elevations in the same factory. We saw a couple of different fifth wheels in various stages of build that we were not able to photograph. I suspect those may be the first of additional lines that were discussed in other threads. I was assured that the Redwood will continue to be the flagship of the models coming out of the factory, no plans to change that. The tour took a little over an hour and the guides were very knowledgeable about the build procedures. If you get a chance, take the tour.

Last summer while in Goshen for a SOB rally I tried to get a plant tour.
I had contacted RW through the website and eventually got put in contact with a dealer.

Bottom line, almost 2 weeks in the area and we could not get a factory tour.

I think they only do tours on Tuesday afternoons but the person I contacted for the arrangement was Dawn at 260-593-3850

I was never given any contact info other then dealers, who did not respond in a timely manner. At least not timely enough to arrange a tour.

Actually, what I did was call the number on the website for Redwood and asked to schedule a tour and I was referred to Dawn who made the arrangements. I think I called a couple of weeks before I knew I would be in the area.

The tour took us about 1 1/2 hours depending on questions. The two gentlemen that gave the tour were very knowledgeable about the product and very enthusiastic about its future. It was worth it!
