Dishwasher or not

I'm in the process of ordering a 2016 Redwood 39FL. Among the other options I'm ordering are a stackable washer and dryer, heat pumps on both air conditioners and max fans in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Looking at the dishwasher but trying to find someone who's used one. Pros and cons?

My 38GK came with a dishwasher. At first I didn't think I would use it much, but I was wrong. I load it with dishes throughout the day and run it at night. It works great, and is quiet.

We just installed one last weekend since ours did not come with one from the factory. Super quiet and will be a nice addition for the long trips.
In my opinion if your ordering new.... go for it as long as you don't need the storage space were it will be.

We put a Fisher Paykal dishwasher in ours. Love it !! 1.8 to 2.2 gallons of water to wash, and the same amount to rinse. Depends on which wash cycle you select. Holds 7 place settings. Very quiet. Cleans extremely well. You won't be disappointed.

I haven't really found a 'con' yet with the dishwasher. Works extremely well.

We have one in our 36FL and use it all the time. We haven't had any issues, but have called Fisher diresct and they are very helpful. Good luck.

Love ours, works very well and is super quiet .... One heads up though, the Fisher Paykal (what we have from the factory) does not play well with onboard generators. It is a very nice option and a must have IMO.

No question about ordering it now. Thanks for all the responses. The dealer is expecting a call from me tomorrow to confirm. Looks like I'll have a dishwasher onboard now.

It is the coolest think on our Redwood, with the leveling system coming in second. I had three brands of rigs on the final list, and when DW saw the dishwasher I threw the list over my shoulder. Absolutely no regrets.

Pros-
It holds more than it looks like it can
It is super quiet, can run while you watch TV and you won't hear it.
Easy enough to winterize - just run the 11 minute rinse cycle while pumping antifreeze through the rest of the stuff.

I kept the storage space but I added a dishwasher to it afterwards. She grumbles and is noisy sometimes but does a good job of the dishes

Mine has been super and the galley tank knows last three to four weeks as the dishwasher uses very little water per wash.

Our RW island was prep'ed for the dishwasher by RW. They change the cabinet doors ad part of the install. Still plenty of room for sink area stuff.

Looks very nice.

Does that mean that it is under the sink?
