Bathroom Fan

Has anyone changed the Fan in the bathroom for a Maxxair. The wiring is no problem as I will use a wireless remote that will installed on the wall. It is the hole in the ceiling. Can it be done without cutting into the sealant on the roof or can i just fit it in the hole?

Mine came from the factory with a standard fan by mistake as I ordered the Max Fan. The dealer was able to switch it out very easily. I would think you may be able to do this yourself.

While we're talking Fans, anyone know the difference between MaxxAir Fans that can be reversed from the wall control vs those that can't??
We have three MaxxAir Fans, Kitchen, Bedroom, and Bath, both Kitchen & Bedroom can be reversed, but not the Bath. Only difference looks to be the wall control, so thinking of trying to replace the bath with a wall control that has the reversing button.

I think I'd try swapping out the controls from one of the others & see if it would work before dropping $$ on another switch. Personally don't know why it wouldn't work unless it requires another wire.

Can you tell me what model Max air fan you used in your bathroom? I'm looking to switch mine out. Thank you.
