Awning Fabric Color

Finally had an opportunity to test the new awning tie down hooks a buddy made for my awnings (first pic) and left the awnings out for a while when @ HHI.

Wife asked why we have grey color awning fabric that doesn't match the rv ?!?

Does anyone else have that question and how do I answer that ?!?

Wow, that doesn't look right John, mine are what I would call a champagne color. The fabric is marked with a 3064 as the color if that helps

I think John's is the same color as mine, where do you find the color number?

Awning Color

Ours appears to be a dark grey color from the pic in our signature line. Unfortunately, Hubby won't let me open it when the winds are above 7 mph or so. (bad experience with a rental is the cause)

With the design of these they can handle more wind than the rigid mounted ones, ours have handled twice to three times that much wind, plus it seems most places we go the wind is always blowing.

Absolutely in TX! We live on the coast, so if we DON'T have some wind or breeze, it's like we're in a Twilight Zone episode that freaks you out. Doo doo doo doo.. Doo doo doo doo.

Still haven't been able to enjoy it for more than an hour extended so far!

They can comfortably handle way more than wind speeds of 7 knots, that's almost flat calm most places. Depends on the direction, but I probably take ours in at 15 to 20 knots.

When the roller tube slams up tight to the side of the camper, you might think about bringing it in

The slightest 'tug' we hear from them, or the sound of flapping at all.... they get rolled up. SOOOO glad we didn't get slide-out awnings now! We would be basket-cases from the noise!
