We just had our 1 year warranty inspection, so far so good, unfortunately I am still amazed at company requesting yearly checks for continues warranty, not bad, but, after spending good money, owners are required to pay for inspection. I still have problem with that. And if you have any warranty repair, unless service can duplicate problems, its on your tab. How many people had problems that repeated at service center? I never had that happened. Anyway, worst problem we had, bedroom slide cover stretched with rain and water sitting in, I guess Im screwed since it will be out of pocket cost to replace. Warranty? not too good. Oh well, live and learn.

Why would you be forced to pay for that? I'm not saying they should cover it under warranty, but if you decided to let it go a few years couldn't you do that? or is it so bad it won't roll up?

It most likely would not be covered under warranty unless - the roller tensioner was defective and would not keep the cover tight allowing water to sit and stretch, etc. The other option would be an insurance claim (depending upon your deductable). Just thoughts to ponder.

Boy... the dealers find more holes in the "warranty" than Swiss Cheese!
I did not pay for my inspection... just a good dealer? Suggest those of you asked to pay keep looking for another one for the remainder of the warranty period. I have not seen ANY other warranty where I pay unless it is real obvious I screwed up!

I see where we are slowing down on topics and most have been covered two fold. Would be nice to index them. I did have Mark of Crossroads call me to see if I was satisfied with service at Berryland RV after talking to Bill Hodges for approval. Crossroads is really taking an interest in customer service/quality control. Good deal.

I've never seen awning material stretch as such. We had slide awnings on one of our previous units, and had them fill with water during heavy rain, but they never stretched. With the water off, they rolled up as normal. When they filled with water, they just unrolled a little more because of the weight. We just had our yearly inspection. Cost was $40.00. I look it as just a part of maintenance. I would just as soon pay a little bit to maintain the warranty than to have a problem a few years down the road and have them say it's not covered because it wasn't properly maintained.

Thats the plan, you pay for inspections, and if you choose not to, oh well, there goes the warranty. Its a racket.

At least Crossroads approved someone I can trust to even do the work.
