Windows do not open far

We just picked up our new 31sl. We went to open some windows but to our surprise they don't open up far. Does it get hot inside when you don't run your air? We dry camp alot and was just wondering.

On our 31SL the escape windows open up far enough and the sliders on the slide open up far only the crank out windows appear to not open far enough but they do the job fine.

We open the escape window in the bedroom. I made a screen for it that is vecro'd on so it comes off easy. Opening the 2 big windows on the ends of the large slide-out helps a lot. I'm not a huge fan of the standard windows, which are limited how wide they open. That being said, we've been in several major rain storms and the windows could be left open and not have any issues.

Very rarely do we open the windows heyer in the heat of the summer, but when we were are loading up or unloading after a trip, we will open the small windows on either end of the rv and turn on the exhaust fans...

Actually pulls a lot of air thru the windows.

Just be careful on the escape windows. They are designed to open and at about 90 degree angle the top hinge releases and the window hits the ground. Not a big deal in an emergency, but a sad day when just trying to get some air

I found out repairing one of the red latches and decided to lift up the window from the outside for access and ended up catching it.

Just avoid pushing out beyond the red handle. I bad gust of wind will make they sail out as well, so you might close them on a real windy day.
