Wifi extenders

Just wondering if anyone has used one of those plug in Wifi extenders at campgrounds. If so, did they help? Not looking to run wires and antennas just wondering if it would be worth getting one of those plug ins.
Thanks

We tried one a number of years ago with limited success, then bought a unit with an external antenna that worked good until technology outgrew it and haven't replaced it do to the hit or miss with GC WiFi. Primarily just use our Verizon JetPak/Hot Spot.
