I also want a residential fridge, and I would like to see an option for a dresser slide (like Mobile Suites has); if they can put in the entertainment slide in the FL, and they can do a slide in slide, I see no reason they couldn't do that. We also would be full-timing in it probably for 10 years. Right now we are also looking at the Open Range Residential 398RLS- not nearly as well built, but it is much cheaper ($15-20K) and has the residential fridge. We might start with a used OR398RLS, and then upgrade after we make sure we like the lifestyle. Besides, in a couple of years, there will be some used Redwoods on the market

After ten months and and around 3400 miles I'm happier with our Redwood than any of our previous MH's or Airstream trailers.

My wish list:

1. LED LIGHTING
Now that LED lighting costs have come down so much I'd love to see LED lighting in place of the high heat lighting that also sucks battery juice throughout the ceilings. I would also invest in a retrofit if the factory offered it. I tried a few cheap LED's found on line but nothing to date that matches the original output.

2. PROPER CABINET LATCHES.
Pantry door and desk top are always opening. We shove padding in between our pantry door and kitchen island. Tried larger hardware but the door still opens on the road. Closing hardware on other doors also suspect.

3. GRAY TANK
And yes, the bath gray tank would be better if you could flow into kitchen gray tank which gets much less use.

4. SECOND STORY
Saw those fantastic two story trailers on TV! Just kidding...

Few changes we think would be handy in the 39MB:
*Light above shower as it's very dark at night
*Cabinet door locks
*Access panel behind living room TV cabinet for satellite or any cable issues. Lights also in cabinet would be nice. Love the cabinet behind the TV and the storage...great idea by Redwood!
*Trim on step into bedroom changed to metal. Our wood trim split and broke after a short time as it wasn't strong enough - we replaced with metal
*Relocate charging station so it's not on sink countertop - maybe put over by dinette?
*Bring back under bed storage for blankets, etc and get rid of those little drawers
*Relocate outdoor receptacle so it's not behind door when door is open
*Better countertops that do not scratch so easily
*No carpeting
*Use better tubing for ice maker lines as we have had several leaks
*Install permanent door locks on fridge

We have the bath and half and our door comes open also. We put door stops on the floor and that helps, but an outside lock would be good!

Having two Sat connections in the living room for DVR. All connections and switches labeled. Something TrailerLife mentioned a couple of years ago when they did their preview of RE. Love our 38gk.

Pantry door

See my post on PANTRY DOOR. Used a piece of trim wood,( had some laying around) length of distance from floor to top drawer. Inserted the board behind the door catches and clamped in place with two wood spring clamps.

Well let's beat the horse a little. Water softener to be relocated were the water hookup is located. A real bed with box springs, since it is a full time unit a ultra soft couch and rocker swivel recliners would be a plus. Full size table and slide out to accommodate 4 chairs at all times or a bench and 2 chairs. Led lightning across awnings mounted on the 5ver when awning is in and keep the led in the awning when it's out. Outside TV area to have a swing out arm so you can position it any direction, outside speakers to listen to the music playing inside. Independent suspension is a must and led lights on all outside lights including brake and marker lights. That's a good start for us.

A table for remotes, drinks, etc. between the two recliners. We purchased two designer stands from Target placed end to end that get the job done, but would be nice to have a 1'x2' table that matches the end tables by the sofa. LED's lighting the stairs at night would be a great idea.

We thought the same on the table, ordered one from a RW dealer for the middle. Also added blue LED lights to stairs and under the bathroom vanity. As said before, would love a light on the street side, better location for the water filter (don't use it now) and a fresh water fill switch in the compartment like on the Montana's for filling our tank.

Yes it should, adds time at the paint shop but does not affect the build at Redwood.

Yeah I asked for it on our unit being shipped to us this week. They said they were not set up for it and it would rake two much time for the paint booth to tackle

Thinking last night while I was at work and came up with this for an idea I would like to see. This idea comes from the drv 5ver. 2 tone wood for cabinetry and or full paint on inside of unit. Or even paint on stained wood to give it a more homey feel.
