Weak Stream From Showerhead

We have a 2015 GK. The shower head has never really sprayed water it only trickles out. Trickle is the only word I can think of to use. It's adequate for getting wet and rinsing but does not spray out. It has an adjustable shower massage type head on the water tube from the faucet. Any ideas?

First a couple of quick questions. Using water pump and potable water or using city side?? Any water pressure regulator if using city side?? If good water pressure at other fixtures in the coach you might have debris blocking the shower-head. Twist the shower-head off and run water without the shower-head attached. See if water flows well without the shower-head. Probably need to rinse debris out of the shower-head.

The problem is the same whether city or tank. The pressure is fine in all the other faucets. The head doesn't appear to twist off although the handle does appear to be able to disconnect from the line.

I agree 100%! When our trailer with new all of the faucet screens had tons of blue shavings from the piping in the trailer! It's an easy fix just go around and clean out your filters. Let us know if that doesn't help and will look further!

After unscrewing the head to clear debris, turn around & throw that head away & replace it with an Oxygenics head, you'll be glad you did.

Agree. That shower head transformed our shower in to just as good as a residential as far as I'm concerned. Even when using the fresh water tank and pump!

Not familiar a with the Flomax, but either one will be a 210% improvement from the original.

LOLOL The oxygenic has less side effects and you can get it without a prescription now.

All of the taps have flow restrictions on them that can be removed to increase water flow. The original shower head has one that you can remove as well and it helps a lot. We have the oxygen in and it does help but would be nice with an adjustment on it

There is another Oxygenics that looks more like a regular shower head, but the reviews weren't as good as the standard.

So all of my brushed nickel fixtures are peeling (again), even the door handle, but that 3 yo Oxygenics looks like it originally did Wish they made the rest of the stuff.

Does anyone else have a problem with the Oxygenics head coming out of the holder while you're showering? We secure ours with a bungy while traveling, but when it happens while in use, well that can be rather startling. And maybe a little dangerous.

Shane ,
Other than the screens ,where is the restrictor located on the shower head?

Joe,
Trust me/us on this one. Don't bother looking for the restrictors just buy an Oxygenics and be happy

Look for a vacuumed leak in the water lines. I'd start with the winterizing tube that has caused myself and others problems. To verify this isn't the area of the problem, buy a pex shut off and install near the end of that line. If the problem persists, take down the service wall and start looking for a bad clamp or water line.

Remember......there may not be a leak of water but there could still be a leak capable of sucking air while using your plumbing.

Good luck

We switched to the Oxygenics head but after I cleared the old head of junk and punched a few holes in the restrictor on the head it worked 100 times better. I had to clear all our lines of the blue shavings to get better flow. Put a adjustable pressure regulator on the water line. I keep it at about 60-65 psi.

For your safety.....shower in pairs. Someone has to hold the shower head
