Water Pressure Regulator

Do any of you know what water pressure our Redwoods are designed to handle? I have heard 80 pounds, but I cannot find that in writing. I am trying to determine which water regulator would be best.
Thank you.

Not sure there is a recommendation. I have mine set for 60PSI which seems to be the norm.

I run mine about 60 also. I think you can set it a little higher, but this seems to work ok for us, and I would rather be safe than sorry.

The only place I wish I had more pressure is the shower. Some on the forum have replaced the provided shower head from Camping World but I haven't...yet.

We were told at the Factory that plumbing is tested to 125 psi and a regulator is not required. Haven't had one in over a year and have had no problems. I do have two filters in the system too and that may make a difference.

I always check park pressure before connecting to determine if regulator is necessary, I think at 80 psi your supply hose would be the weak link. Recently stayed at park somewhere along Gulf coast & they required a regulator due 85 psi water system.

I always use a regulator just to be safe. The water pressure in the park can change because of outside conditions. The water system can turn on extra pumps, a valve in the system can be shut hard suddenly etc. all the can cause a sudden increase in pressure. The lines in the camper aren't copper and you never know when you will have a weak spot. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I'll continue to use a regulator, doesn't seem to cause any issues but can sure save a bunch in the event of a spike.

Water pressure regulator

Camping world sells a good adjustable water pressure regulator, be careful of freezing, it ruins the regulator monitor.

Just know that the pressure regulator can only regulate with flow, static pressures (water not flowing) will still be the same in your camper as the supply.

I use the camping world adjustable regulator, it seems to work OK so far, even with low pressure supplies. (I use it because I don't trust water supplies on a pump! - afraid during low usage it will climb). I know all the regulator will really do is slow down the flow if a blow a hose.

I bought an adjustable one on line that also had a gauge. http://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/Pr...Regulators.htm, It didn't restrict flow like some of them do. It cost a little more, but have had it for several years and have had no problem.
